All equip taken off. Got 980 xp, so will have 20 SP's to use at the beginning of next season. Thinking either A. Using it all to get 5 more points in speed, B. Use 18 sps to get my agility 3rd capped and the remaining two for one point bump in catching, or C. Dumping it all into quick cut/first step. Thanks for any advice/help.

With your build i'd say go with agility. You've worked quick cut up so may as well give it the raw stat to exploit it and go for a balanced receiver. I'd probably throw the rest in sticky hands just to get it to a passable level. What's your equip like, are you going for 10 in both agility and speed, or have you dumped it all in speed?

i think stamina is underrated. it makes all the rest of your abilities more effective throughout the game. My WR has stam 49 and the rest of the WRs on the team have between 37 and 43, and he will commonly get 50% more plays per game than the others. To me that says a few points in stamina makes a big difference in how your energy level diminishes through the game, and he's going to be more effective relative to defenders with lower stamina as the game goes on.

Also, I've noticed from putting equipment into speed versus agility or catching that speed seems to use a lot more energy. And the fastest WR on our team has the second highest stamina but often gets the least number of plays because he's burning his energy faster. So the more you put into speed, the more you need stamina to maintain your speed.

Training it is good, but getting it to the first cap is cheap for SPs and I think is worth the investment to help all your other abilities and especially your speed last through the game.

As it relates to stamina you mention number of plays but you don't mention performance. The number of plays can be changed by changing the energy settings and the depth chart for the team. So higher stamina helps a player get more plays if the coordinators don't know how to adjust the settings. I don't know that stamina actually affects how well the players play.

At this point putting your points into agility and/or agility based SAs will probably have more affect on your speed/acceleration than putting the points directly into speed.

Energy level definitely affects how well players play. I'm not sure how you can say you don't know that.

In this case, the depth chart was set up so each WR ended up with the same energy after each game, so that wasn't a factor. And he had the second most receptions on the team in the regular season and the playoffs, behind only our star speedster who is 3 levels higher, despite being the lowest level WR on the team. Plus his fame is much higher than 2 who are higher level. In the Championship game he had 9 catches for 151 yards all versus CBs 3 levels higher. So these kinds of things indicate to me that performance also reflects the benefits of stamina. The number of plays is just a very obvious indicator that directly correlates with energy and helps to show how a few points in stamina can make a big difference, being able to play 50% more snaps and end up with the same energy. If you flip that around, and the OC set up the depth chart so the number of plays equaled out, then his energy level would be substantially higher by the end of the game. This is true relative to CBs as well.

all of this is just to say.... in my experience it is worth continuing to put a few points into stamina as you level up, at least to the soft cap.

Well, it does by affecting the in-game energy/breath which, when low, reduces your players' abilities. If it didn't there would be no point to energy nor to depth.

You shouldnt be training stats between 35 and 48. You get bigger SP value training stats in their 50s & above than training between 35 and 48.

I am not sure I follow your logic here. Care to elaborate on this a bit?

i think he's saying above 50 the double SP value for every point is worth more than the reduced value of training at that level. in relation to SP, training is more valuable for stats over 50.

here's some numbers...
normal training
stat at 35, 2 training points adds 20% = 10 training points for 1 stat point, 10 TP = 1 SP
stat at 50, 2 training points adds 12% = 16.7 training points for 1 stat point, 16.7 TP = 2 SP or 8.3 TP = 1 SP

(edited to reflect the fact that it takes 2 training points for one normal training)
