Who is kicking ass and who is taking it in the ass?

We had had our worst recruiting year ever... as opposed to our usual no additions or losses, we actually lost a player this offseason. Hoping he decides to return but it doesn't look good...

I only lost one player and am just replacing him with one of my own players (which to be honest is an upgrade). Recruiting done. And yea, I know an 8-8 team should be looking to improve but I think with just a few touches here and there to player builds that our team will be fine.

Besides, I hate recruiting. My least fun part of the game.

OTR might be having it's best recruiting class ever... No surprise considering I was able to land top recruits at the BBB level. Figured it would get easier with Pro attached, and it has.

Spicewood's having our best class yet as well - it's amazing how much more people respond to your PMs when you put USA Pro in the subject line

No offense to the guys above, but I think part of the reason everyone is doing so well is the glut of players on the market this season from all the gutted teams.

I have been turning away level 46 players who I don't have room for. I am sure others are in the same boat.

I think we're (Spicewood) probably about +30 in total levels and quality improvement as well. 14 position player upgrades. Not a bad haul in trying to be competitive at the Pro level...

I think it has more to do with my connections, and me adding guys like Henne to GM...

Some of the guys I've added I haven't had to fight over.

I agree completely there, but to be honest the vast majority of the players I've found on the market aren't all that great anyway. Also, based on your post above, I don't think we can say we're having our best class yet until they're all signed.

This is one main reason why I haven't recruited at all this off season. I've looked at the available players and outside of a few exceptions I don't see anyone better than what I currently have. For me to recruit someone, I'd have to displace someone on my current roster and outside of my own individual players I'm not going to do that unless there is a huge disparity in talent.

And the few exceptions have 100 teams fighting over them and well, I'm just not the kind to beg and plead for a player anyway. I might shoot them a message of interest but I know most of these types of players are looking for someone who will bow down to them, and that's not really my style.

We've got a decent start.
