DTs really don't get much use out of the 90 str. All it does is prevent you from being pushed back, which is why strengthless DTs are being made now.

LOL. What is the job of DTs then?

DT's are build to apply pressure on the QB. NT's are built to eat up blockers, stop the run, and maybe get a little pressure.

how does any of that apply to what a LBer does?
aka - make plays in space, cover, blitz the gap

and why would a DT need 60+ tackling....thats just bad

I'm talking about building a true hard hitter...a guy whose strength is higher than any other attribute...a guy with more than soft-capped tackling...not a slow cow, but a guy who at lvl 45 might have only 60 speed.

a build better suited to tackle the power backs...

see thats what i want to know...im more of trying to counter these big power backs and keep from bein picked up on the block...what do you suggest...

also with these va's...what is better suited...

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=145794

here is my player and i have 27 va's to place...i keep hearing how some va's work and some dont...my original intention is to max out workout warrior and then put rest in textbook tackler...im not in for trying for the fumble...im more about the pure 100% tackle...

workout/textbook??
brickwall/textbook??
workout/vision??

what worx the best...

60 speed at 45? you'd better be joking. he'll never make a tackle. by lvl 45 everyone in your back 7 should have 90+ speed, MLB could maybe get away with 80's but i wouldn't recommend it. your LBer might be able to lay some would, but he's going to get beat to the ball everytime. my 100+ strength NT has gotten 3 FFUMs in his career, i think. i think if you're gonna try this, i'd go a little more balanced, like 70/70 speed/strength.

As a general rule of thumb this is pretty much true... but I will say if you take a more advanced approach, your LBs could actually cover better with less speed... assuming you allocate the missing points appropriately.

With that said... yeah, 60 is way too slow, even for a sure-tackler in the mid 40s -_-

I would love seeing a middle linebacker with high strength and agility with a less focus on speed. If your a middle linebacker and a RB runs up the middle you will be in great shape. I guarantee a LB built like that can get big time 3rd and short stops.

And if they don't run up the middle? If you get blocked?
