I never really paid attention to it before but now I tried to find info on it and cant seem to locate anything?

You get some for just playing in games. You get more for doing well. You get some for trophies and championships.
However, next season if your player is over the suggested level limit I don't think you get any fame points. That's something to look at when you're searching for a new team.

Certain VA's don't become available to your player untill they hit a certain fame #. Also, with endorsements kicking in soon, Im sure it'll be a factor in that as well.
