B Dizzle’s in da Hizzle, 2nd Edition, 5/10/08
Hello and welcome to the second live edition of “BDizzle’s in da Hizzle” where football reigns supreme. I am your host, BDizzle, and I today I have with me eso2008, GM of the Ludlow Lions and owner of 6 players of the aforementioned Eastern Conference team. I’m excited to have you with us, eso2008.
1. First off – I gotta ask you – what does your GLB user name mean and how did you come up with it?
A. It's simple really. ESO are my intials. 2008 is the year I started playing the game. I have used that formula for determining my user name since forever.
2. Are you the owner of the Ludlow Lions or did someone else purchase the team and appoint you as OC/DC? Or do you function as all of the above?
A. I am not the owner of the Ludlow Lions. The owner is "Duris". Funny, we aren't anywhere near Ludlow, MA, either. It is the high school that Duris attended. Duris appointed me Defensive Coordinator. This is a role I share with fellow player "Jacob McCandles". So together we are co-defensive coordinators. He runs the front 7 and I handle the secondary. Obviously, we communicate a great deal.
3. You own a total of 6 players that all play for Ludlow. Why is only one of the 6 an offensive player?
A. When we created the team we "thought" the CPUs were acceptable candidates. They clearly aren't (as shown by our early loss). When we decided to kick them off the team, the coaches for their respective positions chipped in to cover the old CPUs as needed. Thus my contribution is mostly in the secondary. We knew we would need backups so we coordinated that as well with all 5 coaches. I wanted to try QB, so that backup is my one contribution on offense. I also wanted to have one defender per tier (DL, LB, Secondary) and we were able to accomodate that as well.
They all play for Ludlow, that is correct. Maybe I'll branch out next year and see how other teams do it, but right now I'm concentrating on one team.
4. How many Flex Points do you currently have accrued on your GLB account? Be honest. Your fans are interested.
A. I have spent 10,000 flex points. Two double booster packs (6,400) and three booster backs (3,600). I am no where near the mark some of my other coordinators are. My co-coordinator maintains about 30 players around the league at different levels.
5. Explain the situation that recently occurred between you and another boisterous GLBer, TenTwo of the Badlands. What was that all about?
A. It's about sportmanship and its about respect and its all in that thread. Thrashmaster asked to move the thread along at Seizure's request, and as long as we keep it relatively civil, I can respect that. I'm letting it go.
6. In a public statement (see “BDizzle’s in da Hizzle” 5/9 Interview) TenTwo apologized to the league for anything insensitive that he has recently posted in the BBB#10 forum. He also mentioned that “…joking about getting butt raped is funny to me, but I've never actually been butt raped like eso2008 may possibly have.” Tell us more about this butt-raping experience, if you don’t mind.
A. That's what I'm talking about. TenTwo is a funny guy. He admits that his humor is different then most people's. I'm just going to chalk that up to the fires of youth, and the fact that he was probably really pumped from finally playing a team with a winning record. With any luck we meet them in the post-season and we can see who gets butt raped. Right now, my and the team's focus is on the Birmingham Bombers. Anything else would be disrespectful to them. The Badlands Bigmouths will have to wait.
7. Final question, and this is for the ladies’ sake – boxers or briefs?
A. I wear boxer briefs. They look like boxers but cling like briefs. They look almost like biker shorts. It's the best of both worlds.
