Are there any of you out there lvl 38 or higher with a lot of strength and blocking? Or did everyone go Receiving TE route?

Not sure about 38+, but Jack Del Rio has a 36: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=663200

And mine's 28.

There might be a few more out there.

what would you all consider to be the ideal strength:blocking ratio for a true blocking TE

From my experience with my TE, I think it is a good idea for the blocking TEs to be relatively fast- without proper speed they won't consistently reach second level defensive players in time to block them before the ball carrier comes up.

I think the goal of the blocking TE is to try to make plays like this: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=326276&pbp_id=12074036

Too bad my guy didn't go for the SS- probably because he needs more vision

I would definitely rate strength as more important, but as to a ratio, I couldn't say what's ideal. Mine's at about 3:2 right now. I've been contemplating bringing blocking to the third cap after I cap speed, though.

I'm slow building a blocker right now. So far I have blocking and strength soft capped. I plan to soft cap agility next then train speed and stamina

Really? I've been building one, soft capped blocking and strength but was going to do vision next. Agility after that.

I was building a balanced one, but last season sold off all my equipment and put it all into strength. He's pretty much 1st hard capped on strength, soft cap on blocking, agility, vision, vision & speed (like I said he had been somewhat balanced) (level 45)
