My QB plays in SEA Pro and has struggled with consistency this season. Basically, a defensive back anywhere within 2-3 yards of the receiver seems to guarantee an incompletion it seems (although opposing teams seem to complete passes despite being double stacked by defenders - but that is for a different thread).

I just want to get some opinions if this is a build deficiency on my part. Should this build be successful?

Where do my season 8 boosts need to go?

Edit to add tactics - scramble sometimes, medium passing style, check down sometimes, no favorite targets, and not favoring deep.

I am posting this after going 13 for 30 today with 3 ypa against a pretty evenly matched opponent today.

There's some similarity with my build and my QB is just under 70% completion this season, so all I can really suggest is to get your vision increased and add vet points to quick release.

Like you suggested in the title though, it could be down to your receiving corps or your O-line, higher level opposition or the offensive playcalling. There's many factors to it, not solely your guy's build.

Thanks for the input Adam. I am also the OC, so if it is playcalling I can make adjustments. We are a run first team, but when we do pass it is mostly intermediate. Short passes don't seem to give much return, and long passes are a bit tougher to complete this season. Any suggestions/hints with playcalling are also welcome and will be noted.

As for protection, it is much better this season thanks to the DE nerfs. I get hurried about 5 times per game, and sacked about 2-3 times per game. In today's horrible performance it was 2 hurries and 2 sacks.

My guy is a level 40 in a league of level 45+ players... but I don't think I wasted many skill points and always though build was more important than level anyway.

Thanks again!

uhhhh... actually I'd avoid this. Vision is playing a larger role in accuracy next year, with it playing the main factor in how accurately you lead your receiver. I'd get vision to the next cap and then work on strength.

Appreciate the input. I've moved a piece of equipment to vision (+6) for today's season finale. We face the league's #4 pass defense so this will be a true test. I will let you know how it pans out.

Playing on bullet throwing style will help out too I think.

Did better against a very tough pass defense (4th in league).

19 of 29, 65.5% completion, 210 yards, 7.2 ypa, 1 TD and 1 pick.

+6 vision seemed to help some (at the expense of +6 throwing).
