Which teams are your picks to get far into this year's post season? At winning the league championship? Is there room for a Cinderella team to dazzle us all?

My take on seeding in the East:

1. Maine Hawks.
Just need to beat the 3-11 Roos in order to lock first seed. Game 16 vs. the Launch should be a good one but irrelevant for the Hawks.

2. New Orleans Poison.
Easiest remaining schedule amongst the playoff contenders means they're all but guaranteed to be 15-1. Damn fine job, given the level discrepancies.

3. and 4. Red River Chiefs and Martha's Vineyard Ballbusters.
Week 16 will be exciting. This is shaping up to be a great game. I really have no clue how this will pan out, as both teams are playing some fantastic football. Two men enter, one man leaves 14-2 and the other leaves at 13-3. Since I have to pick, I'll go with Red River 3 and MV 4. I think the Chiefs have a slight edge.

5. New York Launch.
The great part about making predictions is that you can pretend like you're the winner. I'm guessing the Launch will finish at 12-4. A 13-3 Launch would still be 5th seed after a 13-3 MV or RR. No home game for you.

6. New York Mustangs.
While they've got a fight against the Beermen, I think they can pull it out and win out the last 2 weeks. That puts them at 11-5 overall. This one's kind of up in the air.

7. Low Country Gators
While I expect them to lose to MV and finish at 10-6, there's definitely some upset potential. This one could throw half of the seeds above into disarray.

8. Milwaukee Beermen
It'll be close against the Mustangs but I think they'll wind up at 10-6 and therefore right behind the Gators - who beat them earlier in the season. They could quite easily wind up 6th seed by knocking off the Mustangs.

While not quite technically locked, these 8 teams are your playoff choices barring a couple of huge upsets by really outranked teams.

So, assuming that all goes as anticipated, we have:

Round 1:
1. Hawks over Beermen
4. Ballbusters over Launch
2. Poison over Gators
3. Chiefs over Mustangs

Round 2:
1. Hawks over Ballbusters
Truly classic showdown, whatever the outcome. Here's hoping it pans out that way.
2. Chiefs over Poison
While NO is playing great, Red River is just a damn good team.

Conference Finals:
Hawks over Chiefs
While the first shootout was a close one, I still think Maine can pull it out again. Their defense has been improving tremendously and I think the hawks can slow down the passing game enough to pull it off.

That's all a really conservative take on things, however. I still think that the Launch could definitely step up and knock someone out. Similarly, the Gators seem like a possible spoiler for someone who's looking ahead a game rather than paying attention to the one they're playing. With some good games in the last 2 weeks (MV/Chiefs, Hawks/Launch, Mustangs/Beermen) the seeds could really get shaken up a bit.

RR looks to be a solid side, as do NOP. I'm just hoping the remaining original charter members for BBB16 move up and get back to a move even league. GL all, except when you play the Hawks!

Here's the West from my point of vue:

When Season ends:
1. Bronx Bears: had to win versus the Villians, did so. Need 1 more win to secure 1st seed (games are against ''middle of the pack'' teams).

2. Nashville Villians: There should be no more surprises for them, they do face a Portland team that has some rabbits waiting for them.

3 to 5.
Thompson Hunters hold the 3rd seed(11-3) for now, but still have to face Bakersfield Blitz(10-4,5th) and the Golden State Giants(11-3). both games on the road. My guess is that they can win both.(you guys can still upset them, I don't mind ).

Golden State visits the Vikings in Sacramento before hosting the Hunters. The Vikings look out of juice right now, therefore the Giants should get back home with a W. Considering games against teams both played, Thompson sneaks out with a W.

Bakersfield Blitz host a Thompson team who hasn't lost since facing the Villians back in week 7. But they do have the firepower to upset the Hunters.

3. Thompson Hunters

4.Golden State Giants

5.Bakersfield Blitz

6. Fortunately for them, the Sacramento Vikings(9-5) can hold the fort until season ends. Should loose against the Giants and win season closer, holding the tie breaker against the Outlaws.

7. Pushing hard on the Vikings' back, the Outlaws(9-5) would need to win out to claim the 6th seed. They could, considering 2 factors: the Villians are still wondering what happened today and Portland has been on a roll lately. Can that winning streak continue against the hosting pissed off Villians.

8. West Lawn Bulldogs needs one of there last 2(they should win both) to prevent Budapesti from claiming the 8th seed with the last minute surge they're having. The Bulldogs hold the tie breaker, which is good for them.

Playoff round 1
Bears over Bulldogs
Villians over Outlaws(upset possible here, considering Portland will face Nashville for the 2nd time in 3 weeks)
Hunters over Vikings
Giants over Blitz

Playoff round 2
Bears over Giants
Villians over Hunters
(considering regular season games, upset are impossible/On the other end, it march now or die, so I doubt both underdogs will simply watch the parade as it goes by )

Playoff round 3
Bears over Villians (due to both Natural Selection and common sense)

Feel free to prove me wrong, by posting or winning,

Really the playoffs look great from where I'm sitting in terms of having better games. Maybe they won't all be incredibly close but it should be fun.

Looks like the 1st-7th seeds are nearly locked in the East.

1. Maine Hawks (even a loss to the Launch gives them first place over NO)

2. New Orleans Poison (a win can't put them over ME and a loss can't put them under RR or MV)

3. and 4. Red River and Martha's Vineyard (the outcome of their huge game will determine the seeds. Regardless of who wins or loses, though, neither team can move up or down beyond 3rd and 4th. Results might bite someone in the ass in the second round, however, as this is could wind up to be the difference between facing ME's higher levels and NO's excellent gameplanning in the playoffs. Tie goes to Red River.)

5. New York Launch (even a win over ME means that they're still tied with the loser of MV and RR, both of which have beat them previously)

6. New York Mustangs (no way to catch the Launch and they hold the tiebreaker over the Gators)

7. Low Country Gators (a win and a Mustangs loss still leaves them in 7th, as does a loss and a Beermen or Buckeye win.)

8. and 9. Milwaukee Beermen and Cleveland Buckeyes (the Cleveland Who? A win by the Buckeyes would put them and the Beermen at 8-8, giving the tiebreaker to Cleveland. I didn't see this one coming, somehow. Tie goes to Milwaukee)

Week 16 games with playoff implications then boil down to:

Martha's Vineyard vs. Red River - This one has been my pick for game of the season for a while.
Milwaukee vs. Cleveland - A somewhat unforeseen scrap for that last spot. Should be a good one to watch.

Good luck to everyone in week 16 unless you're from NY and not named after a horse.

I hadn't watched the replay or even looked that closely while at the office. I just checked the scores quickly and saw that RR had won in a fairly high-scoring shootout.

Wow. That was truly a fantastic game. Congrats to RR on the win and to both teams, just for being a part of the awesomeness of that game.

Hawks v Launch rematch should be fun. Poison v Chiefs will be a real nail biter!

I will go out on a limb and predict a Hawks v Poison finals.
