Alright, so I was wondering if there was anyone who has seen success at all with having high vision as a CB. I'm very skeptical as to the usefulness of vision, and especially the Super Vision SA. Has anyone seen results of having good vision coupled with this SA?

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=631143

That's my CB. He has over 85 vision (including EQ and VA) and 8-10 in Super Vision (varies depending on EQ set). You would think that this would yield some sort of positive result, but in fact I can't notice the difference between him and any other CB when watching the replays. He doesn't read routes well (or any better than otehr CBs with 50 vision), doesn't jump INTs, and doesn't read run/pass. Basically, I don't see any distinct difference in his style of play from my other CBs who have 50 vision and 3-4 in Super Vision. And not to mention 0 INTs with only 8 PD.

NOTE: Before people post that you have to have other stats than just vision, I will note that the same CB has 80 speed and 64 agility, plenty enough to play good coverage IMO. Also, 30+ jumping, catching, and stamina, but only 21 confidence. 28 strength, 42 tackling.

Has anyone else seen results, or is it fair to say that Super Vision is horribly useless?

What is the rest of his build? Attributes don't perform in a vacuum.

nope I don't think you get much gains from vision after the cap. I do think you notice a difference on your way to cap however.

I noticed a huge advantage with more vision on my CB.

For a CB, I noticed huge gains up to the softcap on vision, then less noticable actions, but they are fooled less higher. So at high vision, I wouldn't expect a CB to act differently, I would just expect them to almost never get faked out.

Dig up plays you think you are noticing a huge difference. compared to plays where it was just 50.

If I find the time start going through old games from a few seasons ago when my CB's vision was actually that low then I'll be more than happy to show you. Needless to say, last season Fef had 70+ vision (of course steadily improving) and had 14 INTs leading the league, and the season before had had 60+ vision and lead his league with PDs (58).

Here's a few from last season:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=214736&pbp_id=8417788

This season:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=293107&pbp_id=4589296 (not exactly the result one would want, but it still shows how vision helps him)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=293110&pbp_id=8402797
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=293110&pbp_id=8406057
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=293110&pbp_id=8406134
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=293112&pbp_id=9908869

All of these plays are when Fef had at least 70 vision on him (including equipment).

catching is the LAST thing any cb should work on b.c its the LAST part of defending a pass ... confidence is MUCH more important

im the 1 cb on my team, the other cb`s have low confidence and high catching(40+) yet they have never gotten more ints. bc. theyre not ìn the neighbourhood`enough

look at the stats of my cb over 250 pd and 20+ ints in less than 5 full seasons ... his catching is only 25, but his high confidence(40) and vision(60) along with speed(64) and agility(60) and jumping (61) gets him in the postion to make a play on the ball almost everytime

*(all natural build numbers)

i agree stamina is imp, very imp. but rule of thumb ... a cb is a wr that cant catch so dont waste xp there till after your cb is rounded out

We'll see. I am making 3 corner right now. I am training Jumping and Catching right now at this point and plan on capping catching, then jumping. On top of me already thinking catching helps. This will prove it once and for all. catching will be capped by 26 and jumping will be capped by 30. maybe sooner.

my point is catching is irrelevant if you are not in position to defend the pass to begin with

ya and it's certainly a good point. but what exactly do you need to get into place to make a play? THAT nobody really has completely figured out.

I have seen some damn good corners get burned. I have seen some corners out there, who most people would think is a bad build, lead the league in int's and p.d's.

I have to agree with you to some extent. Probably a matter of the defense being called, who is blitzing form where, tactics settings, etc. But when you are comparing CB's on the same team, usually you can get a good idea.

I have a CB that I soft-capped jumpoing and catching first. Then agility and vision, then speed. He get's burned by speed WRs, but he is extremely good against short passing

a combination of speed and agility so #1 u can keep up with the wr
then vision so u can see whats going on, and jumping for longer reach/jump balls
next i personally say confidence, if ur cb gets beat on a route, the less confidence the more likely he will try not to get beat after that, basically playing more cautious ... also u can have as much vision as u want but if u dont have the confidence to go with it, ull see the pass coming but may not go for the int, only get the int if the qb throws a bad pass

catching is the LAST thing to happen in the process of defending the pass ... no point in having a new computer if it doesnt turn on ...
