I'm one of the unlucky few with a dark green Receiving bar..

Too bad the best WRs are better (on the scouting report) at CARRYING instead of RECEIVING...

dark green carrying (60)
light green receiving (57) -- possibly 60 soon depending on which direction I go with some upcoming SP...

I agree about the carrying bar WRs generally being better than the receiving bar WRs

Carrying's such a goofy name for a rating primarily influenced by speed...

EDIT: okay, both bars are 60 now, but receiving's a light green 60.

well... I beg all of you out there, DO NOT get your receiving bar to dark green -- it just makes you want to retire your player... because you will suck complete ass in comparison to the dudes who simply choose to put points into nothing but speed.

Your guy isn't that bad.
You have the second highest completion ratio on your team and the least drops per catch by quite a bit.

I fail to see the problem.

What's your point? My team has a WR that had the same bars at level 37.

Could you guys in the 40's with WR's who are performing well please post what your carrying is?

If you mean the attribute, my level 41 has a 35 (although I'm training it up). If you mean the scouting bar, I believe its a 57 (don't have mozilla on this computer). My receiving bar is definitely higher.

I'm having a very productive season in Africa Pro with 12 TDs in 14 games and on target for 1,000 yds receiving.

My WR had two 60 dark green bars at the beginning of the season (lvl 41 then). Now after leveling to 47 last night, his dark green receiving bar is now 63.

He has had an ok season ... but has not been as good as he was the past couple of seasons. Most likely due to moving up from BBB11>A6>AA3

Dark green carrying (60)
Light green receiving (57)

They should be both dark green in the beginning of next season.

point is that the only truly effective WRs are the pure speed builds. I'm trying to keep ppl from making the mistake that I did, and try to build a WR that could (bu the attribute numbers) jump / run / catch / turn / etc. I guess my subtle hinting posts didn't crack your thick skull.

DON'T pay attention to any guides when building your WR... seriously, just put points in speed. Speed is about the only stat that matters... A little agility and a little catching, but really, speed is all that you need. The best WR's DO NOT get their receiving bars to the dark green, they simply get their carrying bars up there, because speed is all that matters. If you don't put points into speed, you will end up being a mediocre player.

I'm going to attempt to prove you wrong with my WR. I'm really not mad about my Receiving bar being so high, and it will probably be a 63 sometime in the near future.
