Currently I play my guy on wrap-up tackling. At what point do you consider moving up to Balanced or Power tackling? I don't think I would ever go on Power unless it was a cupcake team, but I'm curious about Balanced.

Is there even a benefit to balanced other than the rare force fumble? I'm wondering about morale killers, and if it would increase the occurrence of Monster Hit tackles.

Edit: spelling

I play on Power Tackling, but I've geared him towards forcing fumbles (which he has done quite effectively this season). You need to invest a lot in the early Hard Hitter Tree SAs to be effective, because those are the ones that help you out in tackling.

to be honest sometimes I'm surprised you don't miss more tackles. Most of yours, he is in good position for though, rather than chasing a guy or in a big crowd at the line.

What are you talking about... he's got a 3:1 tackle:missed ratio; that is terrible.

And actually... while you have great stats with zero missed tackles and 6 ffum (including scrims) on the season, I just realized that your LB is WAY overlevelled for his league. He's a level 46 in a league where the recommended level is 20-34! Plus, 3 of his ffum came against gutted teams, so it's really 3 in a season where he's basically playing against scrubs. And of those 3, one of those was recovered by the offense, so it's really only two successful forced fumbles.

Not to call out anything, especially in a season where fumbles are just down in general, but yeah... all those VA's and SP's can really be used elsewhere in a more productive manner.

seems like he makes a lot of tackles when I watch the games. Whereas the MLB with 80 tackling misses tackles almost every game it seems. My guy is getting a little better now that I have his tackling to 56 and wrap up.

I'd say go to balanced around 65, power around 78, but it depends partly on height/weight though.

My LB was playing on balanced (DC request) with tackling just above the first cap. He had about a 20% missed tackle rate. Averaged about 0.5 FFum during this time. Okay results but I feel that a 20% missed tackle rate is too high for a LB. I do agree that you should be above the second cap for balanced and third cap for power.
