Contemplating retirement.

Not enough carrying?

Trust me on this.

Change your running style to 100% Power

Get carrying up to the softcap
Raise vision up to around 35 and keep it there
Add points to Quick Cut, Lower the Shoulder, and Power Through, get at least all of them to 7 or over

Your OL has to take the blame somewhat also, they seem to not be able to create and hold lanes for your player to run through.

P.S. - Once you start dominating, you have to promise not to dominate my Kenya team just because I gave you all this advice

I put it to -100 , I have a scrimmage in a few hours, we'll see if it helps.

I realize carry will help you break tackles but I should be doing better than I am. My BTKs are down from last year and I'm in the same league.

Yeah my TFLs are way up this year.

In that case BIG thanks for the advice.

I would increase Carrying and work on SAs. My Power HB has 86 or so in Strength, 51 Carrying, and 6-10-6-11-8 for SAs, he's averaging 15-17 broken tackles a game. Also, look into the Bruiser VA, that should help a bunch.

I had the same problem with my power HB. Over 100 strength and I wasn't really breaking any tackles. I realized that my 5-5-5 in the tackle breaking SAs wasn't going to cut it against higher leveled competition and I decided that the best way to get results was to take Power Through up very high. I took it to 7 and noticed slight improvements, and just this past game I leveled and raised it up to 9, so next game I expect to see a ton of Power Through firing off with my strength that is around 104.5 with Workout Warrior factored in. And soon after that I'll be able to upgrade my +Power Through advanced equipment to give me 10 Power Through with 105.5 strength. I still think carrying is something that can be postponed until Lower Shoulder and Power Through are both at 8 base
It's annoying how an extremely high strength build pales in comparison to mediocre strength high SA builds (whereas other positions thrive off of having obscenely high attributes and can get by with low SAs for the most part).

But back to your guy - get your SAs up (focus on Lower Shoulder & Power Through).

I've done a few temp boosts to Carrying to test it's effects. And imo, it's not as important as some people would lead you to believe.

I blame QB's and the unwillingness to modify how Strength works for running the ball at positions that are obvious non-power rushing positions.
How did they never get the idea for "Throwing Strength, Kicking/Punting Strength" attributes.

This is the truth.

I had this same problem with my HB at the beginning of this season. Upping things that say that they added to break tackle % had the most effect on my HB. since the beginning of the season, i brought my power through up 2 and put 10 into bruiser, and i'm breaking probably 10 more tackles a game.

Another thing i've saw is that vision has become important for power backs, it'll help you find the hole better, instead of just powering through the powerful DTs.

Vision over 40 for a power back is unneeded and can be detrimental to the build

this is a myth and incorrect. vision, in nature "helps" power backs less because they don't change their direction as much as elusives. power backs are more content running straight ahead. that being said, vision will help you find the holes better, as that is its function.

That is true, but you also need the confidence and carrying to be able to want to hit the hole hard and fast, if you don't have that, vision is useless and can definitely be detrimental

So how high should confidence be ?

God you need all va's in bruiser. Brusier is the best VA in the game.

A RB with those stats should be breaking more tackles than that.. so it's probably not your fault..

Though, like the poster above me, Bruiser is the best VA for power backs. Get that to as high as you can ASAP, then start with another VA.
