Globetrotters Out For Blood
After winning their last game against the New York Gangster's, the day has come that many of the Globetrotters have been looking forward to for a long time. To some on the Denver team the next game is just another game against just another team. To some though this is a game they see not only as one the will win, but one that they would like to send a unquestionable message in. Carl Lewis, Wait What and Joshua Hollywood were once members of the Detroit Revolvers a team that was in disarray and lacked what they wanted in a team, unity. They have since found a home in Denver together forging a new start for the three, and now they have a chance to show the Revolvers who is truly is the better team after their release.
Joshua Hollywood the Denver linebacker has posted a picture of the Revolver's logo in his locker, a reminder of where he was and where he finds himself today. "Its been great being here and playing with my brother (Hunter Hollywood), but this game holds alot of meaning for me. Most games I tell ya its about winning the game, and that is still true. But this game I want not only to beat my opponents, I want to destroy anyone that touches that ball on their side of the field", said Hollywood.
Wait What was not quite as eager to destroy revolver players as Joshua but had this to say. "Yeah of course I would like to say this is just another game, but its not. Its against my former team and of course I want to play well, and I will" he said will a smile.
Carl Lewis, the teams most colorful and vocal player was in rare form when he met with the media today. "I feel sorry for most of the Detroit's players. They didnt know they were gonna have to deal with my wrath when they signed their contracts. They thought they had just signed the deals of the lives and were going to be able to buy that dream home and top of the line car. Little did they know, that I was going to use and abuse them on national T.V. where their wives and children would see. Little did they know that their children classmates would mock them for the rest of the year after seeing what Lewis did to their daddy's on Sunday. Little did they know the would be immortalized on film on the losing side of every ESPN highlight of this game. But dont blame me, shoot dont blame yourselves, blame the people that came before you" announced Lewis.
Coach D-Will finished of his day in a press conference and many time mentioned that this game would be a big rivalry for years to come. "Yeah I guess there are some hard feelings on both side of this. All I can say is oh well, get over it. We are going to win and we are going to win big" said the Denver Coach. One reporter asked specifically if he saw this game being this big year after year of would the rivalry eventually just die out. "Well it'll keep going on I think. Unless they get sent to AAA at the end of the season".
Will Power the teams halfback had this to say when asked about the Revolver's "Naw I aint out for blood or anything. I really respect some of their players a great deal. They would make nice additions to our practice squad if they wanna sign."
