Warrior General Games

In a league I DC for, most players are level 24-30.... very few are level 34-37 but there are a couple... this one HB for example..... With his equipment, his speed is 95. My LB's are levels 25-31 with speeds from 65-78..... I have a level 37 CB with 92 speed and a level 32 DE with 97 speed. How do you stop a running back THAT fast. There is no chance to actually react to where he's going. I'll post a play here in a second to show what I mean. What can be done to stop someone THAT fast that is just eating up the league?

Center shift...and possibly balanced focus would help a bit.

If he seems to be killing you to the outside, run a 3-3-5 man - you'll have more defensive backs than WRs to block them to the outside...it will leave you vulnerable up the middle though -

I overload the outside, and blitz CB's a lot against the Pro Set.

Most runs are outside runs anyway.

Yeah, from now on they'll be titled differently, I noticed that too... usually do it in haste.

4-3, Strong Shift. LOLB Blitz. Balanced or Run Focus.

If they don't pass to FB's/HB's out of Pro Set then you can blitz the MLB too.

3-4 works well too.

LOLB blitz won't work against REALLY fast HB's though.

DE contain unless you think here's a chance that they'll be running inside as well as they'll burn you, otherwise use LB shifts, put in fast safeties and load the box, or use more CBs

Get better line backers then, or play preventive zones. Great Linebackers should have 80-100 speed imo

You don't find many level 28-34 Linebackers with more than 65 speed. I found ONE with over 70..... Last free agent period, if you'd search the FA market and such, out of 30+ linebackers level 24-34 there was ONE with speed over 70. We're facing a level 37 HB with speed 95, no LB is fast enough at this level. Will have to switch to a 3-3-5 strong side shift or something

Just get them to switch all their equip to speed.
