This happened twice last game when my CB was in perfect position to defend the ball. At the last second he moved a yard or two further downfield leaving the WR open for the catch. My CB, Bigsly, was using close/semi. Here are 2 examples:

Here an example from the same game that looked normal for my CB:

Could be...his jumping isn't as high as I would like...but what makes you think jumping? Seems like jumping is more of a vertical rather than the horizontal translation that occurred...

What's his jumping?, I have a good feeling it is jumping too.

Looks as though your CB compensated for his lack of jumping ability by moving further back where the ball would be within his reach, while the WR on the other hand, made the adjustment and caught the ball at its highest point

His jumping is only 33, but is 6'4"...a veritable tree for a CB....he has 90+ speed/ 80+ agility...(ins't using his VAs yet)

alright, what is his vision then?, lol, maybe he isn't seeing the ball correctly

it could be he didnt see when the ball was thrown while trailing the WR...WR stops to make a catch before the CB can react

CB's need to make a vision check to adjust to the ball. WR's automatically adjust to the ball without needing to make a vision check, which is why you see plays like this happen all the time. My 70+ vision, 65 jumping, 80+ agility CB does this kind of crap too.

Thanks all! Upping my vision is one of the next things on my list to do....super vision will have to wait for a bit, since my base attributes need a bit more work first...
