Anybody else notice that FB's are pretty well useless this season? Once we get to the line of scrimmage, they pretty well freeze. In previous years we were effective at running past the line of scrimmage and blocking LBs's in the secondary. Now we are nothing more than O-Lineman that start a couple yards behind the line of scrimmage.

Not really had many issues so far, I don't get that deep admittedly but it's usually the SS or LOLB that I pick up on run plays.

I haven't had any more issues this season than last season tbh. Got some replays of issues with lead blocking?

Both the replays I posted in the thread are my FB basically failing to block anyone useful when lead blocking. In the first one he should go for either the LO or the SS but basically does nothing instead. In the second one he looks like he may be spotting the SS instead of ploughing into the LO like he should have. There are quite a lot of other similar replays from my FB from this season.

nah, my FB, the on on my team, actually makes a ton of crucial blocks in opening up lanes for the HB, and in picking up blitzers.

imo the FB position is definitely less important this season due to changes in the running game. Not that they don't get blocks, but against equivalent levels of competition a mediocre and a great FB will produce similar results.

I've no idea how good my FB is on the mediocre to great scale, but compared to last season he has become rather pointless when run blocking.

One game my FB had a problem picking up blitzes on passing plays, but other than that I haven't really noticed any issues. Plus, he's having his best season offensively: 67 rushes for 626 yards, 10 TD and 15 receptions for 133 yards, 1 TD.

Yea so does mine, unfortunately he only blocks 1 of 2 LBs most of the time.
