i would lose 4 speed points to put this piece on...

You wouldn't put it on until you upgraded it some. At least to +3. But I don't think this is a good deal by itself.

Your going to want to find a piece with a route run or quick cut SA attached to it or a % bonus to catch ball chance. If you see one of those pieces I would take it if they have at least a +2 bonus to speed or agility, maybe even catching. If you don't have many bonus tokens I would just start stock piling them now and shop later, since your going to need at least 16 to make any AE worth putting on.

My TE has a +4 speed +3 agility +13% catch ball chance which I love (began as +3 agility +5% catch chance). Works much better than a piece that I had that had sticky hands on it. No drops this year in 30 receptions after dropping 1 in 7 passes in previous years., and my catching is only soft capped.

So i recommend % catch chance - allows you to focus more SP skills that will get you open.

I knew I should have added that . I'm pretty stoked on that play though, that's only @ +1 Spin, can't wait to see what it does with more. I've seen lots of spin on WRs & wasn't that impressed, it will be interesting to note if it's more effective with TEs...

What does a spin look like?

I would try and find an SA that is contained on the TE tree. If you find one like one handed catch or juke, it sounds great but its going to take a long time to get that piece to +4 in that SA, which isn't really all that high. But plus 4 in a SA that you have already invested in (quick cut, route running) will save you almost 20 SP and allow you to max a SA out.

If you really think +4 or +5 is worth it and have the patience to upgrade it for 3/4 seasons, then go for it.

Looks like a possible spin to me. After he caught it he shot out to the right a bit THEN took off.
