What yardage is considered short/medium/long? I know this has been asked a lot but I haven't seen anybody answer it. Does it say anywhere for sure or is it all speculation?

Look at the hot routes on the plays, and you will know.

It really varies play to play. Some short plays go 20 yards downfield.

Doesn't it have to do with the primary reciever and the QB drop.
