Warrior General Games

This week the 7-0 Purples host the 7-0 Wolves, then head to Vice City for a showdown with the Mambas.

I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure it's a given that we're not quite ready for these matchups. Perhaps if it were at the end of the season, I'd be more optimistic. I think by the playoffs, I will feel much better about our chances.

Regardless, these will be the most even matchups you'll see in the east until the final week when the Wolves host the Mambas, so I'm hoping these next two weeks produce some good games (and maybe an upset or two?).

You guys definitely have a rough stretch getting Vice City right after us. Y'all have the advantage of being on your second or third players though, and have learned how to build them the right way. My roster is littered with players not built efficiently - mostly my personal players. Plus you guys are solid game planners, something I'm not the best at. So who knows? I'd say that even though there is a gap of 10 levels at some spots, it's probably not as bad as you think based purely on quality.

VA's have thrown a wrench into our plans. I've been a part of another team that was successful knocking off teams 10+ levels higher than them, but that was a few seasons ago. Today, I think VA's make that feat a lot harder. Not impossible, but it may take longer to start winning those games than it used to.

If anything, I'm hoping we're competitive so we can have something to talk about in this forum. I understand why it's dead, but I don't have to like it!

It will be interesting to see how things pan out in this this season for our powerhouse teams. We at the VCPA are happy to provide you guys with a light work out when we play you. It is good leaning experience for us as a young team. I think we have done well to be competitive in the games we have won. Hopefully over the next couple of seasons we to will be looking at a 6 and 0 start.

Nice Game Akron, nice to see our energy is at 10 just what we need to get the xp going.

good game fellas. Perhaps we will get the better of you next time, but after that game, I am not so sure.

this is cool just found this forum ! wish i had known about it. didnt know i was going to be able to buy DETROIT , wouldnt have let my CB go if i knew . look foward to our game Atlanta . hope to keep DETROIT going in the rite direction .

i think we would have been more competitive if bort hadn't initiated this silly vet pt system. we can deal with a 15 lvl deficit with superior builds, but the vet pts bury us alive. I fear we will only start to really make waves once other teams start to decay ala season 10 or so...

He had to do something about the "silly" slow builders. I have some myself but I know Bort has made comments against them.

I think you may be giving the Vet system alittle too much credit. Then again some people had pretty decent builds from the beginning so it really doesn't matter.
