So someone on one of my teams mentioned QB's being slow and it affecting the handoff.

My HB had been doing the same thing and I have no clue why it never crossed my mind. Thought it was just a replay glitch, because it happens to a few people I know. But once I read someone mention QB speed affecting the handoffs it just made sense. Slow QB running to get the handoff, but he is late and the HB has to stand there, or change direction to get the ball faster, and then the defenders break through and blocks are broken thus disrupting your runs.

And Voila, speed for QB's makes a difference. Anyone have a QB with more than 40 speed that can show some off-tackle runs or hand offs in general to investigate the differences?

wow... thats pretty noticeable. HB doesn't have to stop and change direction to get the hand off.

looks like Bort didn't answer that question about the QB speed/handoff thing. But a few dudes said 40 speed is like "Peyton Manning Speed" for a pocket passer. Enough to get the hand-off off without messing up the runs.

Ah. So many of those threads are filled with people asking the same damn question over and over again, it's like sifting through a pile of elephant crap to find the damn key that he ate.
