The new owners of the "Detroit Rampage" had their first game of their regime and got blown out 122-0 by Techmo Superbowlers. Due to a recent overhaul of the roster to get rid of all the CPU players there is a lack of talent and they are in a rebuilding stage. After the game Wednesday veteran QB Justin Roper (level 12) had this to say.
Roper: Due to the lack of talent around me i would like to be released.
The oner and general manager of the Rampage requested that Roper renegotiate his contract to remove the no trade clause implemented by the previous owner but Roper insists on being outright cut instead of a trade.
Rampage owner Jdog21b had this to say
Jdog21b: I would rather trade you and get some value in return to help the team instead of just cutting you. If i cut you i would still have to pay you your contract so if you don't agree to renegotiate you will just ride the bench until your contract runs out.
Roper still has 1 year remaining on his contract and the Rampage owner and their GM seem intent on benching him over just outright cutting him..... we will keep you posted on further updates
