I'm at a bit of a loss for what to do with my WR. When I started building him he was going to be the more possession-oriented counterpart to our lightning fast #1. However, in games against equal competition he's shut down.

Is the answer here really just to crank up the speed? I had hoped that getting jumping up to the first cap would have had a meaningful effect, but I haven't noticed any difference when lining up against a respectable DB.

Strength 32.7
Speed 62.81
Agility 62.01
Jumping 49.54
Stamina 36.01
Vision 36.27
Confidence 31.85
Blocking 17
Tackling 9
Throwing 8
Catching 52.9
Carrying 35.91
Kicking 8
Punting 8

All equipment in speed (+21)

Possession Receiver Abilities
3 3 1 0 0 (+CE)
Speedster Abilities
3 3 2 0 0

Track Star 7
Sure Hands 5

You need an OC who will utilize you better.
But then again, you are getting 98.4 YPG so far this season, so I don't really understand the problem.

98 YPG is highly misleading. The yards are coming from vastly inferior competition. Against any real team it's often two receptions for 15 yards.

Then your OC needs to give you more hook routes (where he actually selects you as the WR to receive the pass).
I could easily get you at least 60 YPG against competition.

<20 passes/game isn't gonna help get you more looks.

It will if you have:
Agility 62.01
Jumping 49.54
Catching 52.9

Possession Receiver Abilities
3 3

That's a good build. Don't fret about the jumping, it does help.

If you're looking to go possession, keep adding to jumping and catching. Your catch radius will be huge if you get those both to 60. Plus, more catching = more targets from the QB.

I'll add. An unnamed WR last season had 50 catching. Caught 65% of the passes thrown his way. Pretty good.

This season, got catching up to 56 and added some Soft Hands to get it to 60 basically. He's caught 75% of his passing.

Just keep doing what you're doing. it's a good build.
