We all know what PD means. the question is in terms of in-game calculations... what is a PD? how does it work?

I have a pretty good idea of what exactly it is mathematically. I just want to see what everyone else thinks.

Pass Defended, it USUALLY occurs when a pass is thrown towards a WR and a CB knocks it down, or touches it and thus causing it to become incomplete. This can also occur with a LB blocking a TE/WR, or even in rare cases a DE could get a PD.

correct. but from a technical level, how does it work? what happens during the rolls process? how could the "anti-PD" roll work, as bort mentioned?
