what should it be at? was thinking 40-48 somewhere in there

for what position?

for a DE i would make tackling one of the last things to softcap...unless you want an all-around DE who occasionally drops into coverage

title says tackling for DE... doesn't that explain position?

you answered your own question..

any player in this game only needs about 30-35 tackling right now. tackling is over rated for every single position in the game.

Agreed, my guy has 31 in tackling and hasn't missed one yet this season.
