Okay, these new teams are killing my predictions...Just when I think I have them figured out, they throw me a curveball...

There's no way that there is any disputing the Game of the Week for this week...As a matter of fact, this will quite possibly be the Game of the Year...Let the playoff seeding begin...
Jax Beach Juggernauts (3-0) vs. Alamo City Souljahs (2-1)--Alamo City rebounded nicely after their public embarassment against Lincoln by destroying the hapless Paladins...Meanwhile, Jax Beach has been killing every opponent that has been placed in their way, including a decent Richmond squad...The only matchup bar that isn't completely lopsided to Jax Beach is receiving...However, it's never been said that receiving wins championships...Jax Beach 90-Alamo City 24
Minnesota Paladins (0-3) vs. Antarctica Cavemen (0-3)--We knew it had to happen sometime...Only one team can go 0-16, and since Minnesota actually has a human owner, I have to give this tilt to them...Evidently winning is not so easy a caveman can do it...Minnesota 35-Antarctica 10
Frostburg Bobcats (2-1) vs. Texas Tech Big Red Spread (0-3)--So Frostburg didn't live up to their promise of holding Houston under 100 points...The good thing is, there's only 3 games that they should give up 100 points, and this is strike 1...The good news is they get a chump team in Texas Tech before they run into strike 2 next week against Lincoln...Rudy's BBQ Stadium has been about as desolate as the farmland surrounding Lubbock...Frostburg 48-Texas Tech 13
Baton Rouge Bayou Bengals (1-2) vs. Torrington Wildcats (2-1)--Torrington has been a Jekyll and Hyde team this year...They start off by dominating a Western team, then get killed by Deimon...What happens next, they squeak out a win over Killian's...Baton Rouge's lone win came against Texas Tech, and that was only by 1 point...I have to give a slight advantage to Torrington on this one...Torrington 51-Baton Rouge 38
Deimon Devil Bats (2-1) vs. Richmond Empire (2-1)--Both of these teams are exceeding expectations this year...Both teams have 1 loss on their records, but they've come against very good teams...Richmond lost to Jax Beach, while Deimon lost to Big Money from the West...The matchup page looks dang near even, but Richmond has looked slightly better in their wins...The Empire continues to build itself up...Richmond 44-Deimon 34
Delray Manatees (1-2) vs. State of Texas Domination (1-2)--The classic battle of Offense vs. Defense...Delray has the defense, while S.O.T. has the offense...This league often looks a lot more like the Big XII rather than the SEC...Offense wins championships in Da 7, not defense...S.O.T. is going to take this one down...State of Texas 49-Delray 45
Killian's Irish Red (2-1) vs. Texas Presidents (1-2)--Killian's has been another Jekyll and Hyde team...A win against Baton Rouge followed up by a loss to Torrington leaves me unsure of how to pick their games...Texas lost a close one against Delray before getting blown out by Deimon...At this rate, Texas should be out of the playoffs before their namesake finds his way back to Texas...Killian's 31-Texas 17
GAME OF THE WEEK/YEAR: The battle for the Fires of Freedom Bell: Houston Armageddon (3-0) vs. Lincoln Freedom Warriors (3-0)--This game should easily live up to the pre-season hype...A game that will most likely determine the top 2 seeds in the Eastern Conference and a rivalry that has been brewing for quite some time...Houston didn't make any big moves in the off-season, but they did keep almost all their major players in place...Their offense has been tearing teams apart...On the complete opposite, Lincoln made some major free agency moves in the off-season, and has been riding defense to their wins...Unlike the S.O.T.-Delray game, both of these championship favorites have some ability on the other side of the ball as well...This game will most likely come down to the final whistle...Lincoln 38-Houston 35
Even though I'm the owner of the Freedom Warriors, I would love to be able to look forward to the Houston/Lincoln game as merely a casual observer...This should be a great week to be a part of "Da 7"
