I just capped vision this season and the biggest noticable difference is I have had no drops thus far this season...which is a huge diffence over last season when I had 17. It seems the two are likely related as I really did little else to this build this offseason.

FYI I'm fairly certain drops overall have been reduced this season due to offseason coding. My WR hasn't dropped a ball yet in 3 regular season games and only had 1 in preseason and he was dropping them like crazy last season. I haven't touched vision and my drops have improved this season.

Mob-6 - what did you improve? agility is a huge factor in drops, if you bumped that up either with Quick or with SP, you'd notice a difference.

I boosted agility by ten prior to the play-offs last season and it did not help at all with drops.
Season 6 post agility boost:
2 playoff games with 4 catches and 2 drops in each game.
3 post season scrimmages with 9 catches and 4 drops.
This season all RR and FS.
If as Bort says, drops are due to bobbling of a ball, perhaps the defenders are knocking it away in the bobbling process before I even have a chance to drop it?

Or perhaps RR and FS are allowing you to adjust to a throws trajectory allowing you to have an easier catching roll since the ball appears more on target?
You should also ask what your QB boosted this season?

I don't buy it, FS and RR have never helped with drops in previous boosts. I think I'm probably dropping half of them and the CBs are deflecting those drops on their second roll so it goes down as a PD rather than a drop on my part. That would explain the increase in PDs and the decrease in drops.

I definitely have had a lot less drops so far this season. 2 drops in 6 total games (both drops were in preseason vs a gutted team) ...where previous seasons I was averaging a little more than 1 drop per game.
I was not shocked by my drops in previous seasons as my WR was still in development mode.
My recent upgrades...end of last season before playoffs...I boosted speed a bit more and agility just a couple points. I do not think either of those made a difference in drops as I still had drops in the playoffs.
This season I boosted and capped vision and then had 5 points left that are in save mode until my next level up when I can cap jumping.
So vision and the S7 sim seem to be the only changes to my WR. The other factor that could have changed was the QBs could have gotten better. None of the receivers on my team have more than 1 drop so far this season but all are pretty well rounded at this point.

Bort said CBs attributes will affect your "can I catch it" roll, so while your WR may not be dropping much he's also not attempting to catch passes either as most CBs have higher jumping and vision than your WR affecting your roll. Your WR has 7 incompletes, Mclovin who's the WR with the highest vision on our team has 0 incompletes only catches or PDs.

I'm seeing less drops too. My WR had 14 drops and 86 receptions last season (1 every 6) and this season he has 18 receptions and only 1 drop.
I haven't added much to vision. I've pumped up agility and speed with a couple extra points going towards vision.

My WR is literally not trying to catch passes like he sees he has no chance and quits on the play before he even gets to the point of rolling to try to catch the ball? Can you link the post that describes that process? I hope this isn't true as now I not only have to worry about getting open, the catching process, but also building up my WRs thought process to convince him he should try and catch a ball? What attributes dictate this? Ugh!

In this quote, by "Their first roll", Bort means the CB's swat/INT roll before the WR's catch roll.

Their first roll is modified by the WR's jumping/etc, much like the WR's roll is modified by the CB's skills. Basically the WR gets an anti-swat roll.

SA's like jumping catch give you a larger score when comparing rolls either against other players or just in general (like the "can I catch it" roll) in the various situations to which they apply.

I think your catching, jumping, vision and SAs affect the roll "battle" between a WR and. How much, only Bort knows.
My Possesion WR doesn't get much separation, but with his 51 jumping and 64 catching he's caught 91% of his passes so far with 0 PDs.
