Single Back pass to the HB was ran against us three times. Two times for scores and one that could have been another but the HB ran out of bounds.

Out of bounds - http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=333885&pbp_id=1849651

1st Score - http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=333885&pbp_id=1850350

2nd Score - http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=333885&pbp_id=1851099

What shell should I be running out of the 4-2-5 to stop that?

Thanks
Sig.

I had to game plan against a dangerous RB that did a lot of this as well. I saw he was catching a lot of passes and just running around people, and I just couldn't think of anything to do to stop it.

The first and obvious thing for me was to never blitz him, because that's what would often leave a dangerously fast/agi/strong pass receiving RB open. Unfortunately this made the LBs slower to react since they couldnt run blitz and generic runs to the middle went further.

Setting your OLBs to pass and playing them in zone would limit the effectiveness of this pass and outside runs, again hurting a little against gut runs.

In the end we scraped out a 6 point win, but we gave up a lot of yards and points. The RB had a few successful long runs, but at no point did he run free for a TD due to poor coverage..

It seems your LDE's vision worked against you severely in that play, i'd play that in cover 2 yes, run focus.

Although a 4-1-6 would probably be a better option against that play
