So I'm going to do a bit of an overhaul of the Freedom Scrolls for this season, seeing as there's way too many new teams to really know much of anything about them...I will no longer be ranking the games, and instead just breaking them down game-by-game except for 1 "Game of the Week"...With that in mind, let's get down to the nuts and bolts...
Minnesota Paladins (0-1) vs. State of Texas Domination (0-1)--Oh my, what ever happened to the Domination...Once one of the most feared teams in Da 7, now nothing more than the Detroit Lions of the league...What's sad though, is that Minnesota is in even worse shape than they are...How Texas convinced a level 37 QB to come to their team is beyond me...Good passing and decent receiving against a swiss cheese pass defense spells a win...Texas 80-Minnesota 10
Lincoln Freedom Warriors (1-0) vs. Alamo City Souljahs (1-0)--Sure, Jimo brought in a level 44 TE...That's pretty impressive...Lincoln, however, went on a spending spree to shore up some huge holes on defense, mainly at LB...The additions of level 42 LB Brandon New and level 41 LB Joe Shepherd bring the pain back to the once formidable Freedom Warrior defense...Jimo is doing great things with Alamo City, but they're not quite ready for the gun show that is the Freedom Warriors...Lincoln 42-Alamo City 3
Antarctica Cavemen (0-1) vs. Frostburg Bobcats (1-0)--Not much to say here...Frostburg is one of those middle of the road teams that will be competing for the right to get stomped by one of the "Big 3"...They're going to have a 2 game win streak after they mutilate the CPU Cavemen, but then they face their own Armageddom in the form of Houston...Frostburg 91-Antarctica 0
Delray Manatees (0-1) vs. Texas Presidents (1-0)--Texas has one of the easier starting schedules in the league, not facing a serious team until week 8 when they take on Richmond...Delray is still trying to find their identity in the league...You've got George W. Bush vs. his brother Jeb...Like in politics, George wins...Texas 42-Delray 14
Deimon Devil Bats (0-1) vs. Torrington Wildcats (1-0)--Deimon was one of the laughing stocks of the Eastern Conference last year...This is a new season though, and thanks to the crop of great teams that got moved up, they've actually got some teams to beat up on this year...Are they ready to contend with the big boys? Not yet, but they could very well compete for a spot in the playoffs...Torrington did start off the season with a win, but the highest level player on their opponent's team was a level 15 OG...Deimon 59-Torrington 37
Killian's Irish Red (1-0) vs. Baton Rouge Bayou Bengals (0-1)--Two brand new teams to the league that I really don't know much about...Looking at the matchups, Baton Rouge should have a good chance of winning the game...Sure, Killian's is 1-0, but their opponent's best player was a level 13 CB...Baton Rouge has some solid skill position players...Baton Rouge 35-Killian's 13
Texas Tech Big Red Spread (0-1) vs. Houston Armageddon (1-0)--Easily the most lopsided game of the week...Not a single matchup bar for Texas Tech is better than Houston's worst matchup bar...This game will be eerily similar as to the real Texas Tech's game against Oklahoma...The only question is, does Houston reach the 300 point plateau? I'm guessing not quite...Houston 275-Texas Tech 0
GAME OF THE WEEK: Jax Beach Juggernauts (1-0) vs. Richmond Empire (1-0)--Someone obviously forgot to tell the Richmond Empire that they're not supposed to be good...Richmond has their QB and HB both in the top 10 in passing yards and rushing yards...The problem is, they did it against a team that has only 5 active, human players...That's not the case with Jax Beach...Jax Beach is one of the teams considered a legitimate title threat in the East...Richmond could make a decent game out of this, but chances are it won't be closer than 2 TD's...Jax Beach 56-Richmond 34
Hope you guys enjoy this first look at the new season and new teams...
