So I've been debating with myself.

Workout Warrior or Bruiser?

What would you say is the bigger bonus at VA level 15. +10 Strength or +45% Break Tackle

Ill guess 45% btkl if you're already a beast at breaking tackles.... otherwise the strength.

I was hardly breaking any tackles. But then I redid my equip to be all into strength (had a few in speed). So he is over 95 again and he broke 6 tackles on 12 carries in the first game. In our scrimmage against the same team when he had the split gear he was 80 str/80 speed and only broke 2 tackles on 12 carries. (Yes we had to play a team in the preseason that we played in week 1).

I think I'm just going to do Workout Warrior first then Bruiser second.

its not +10 strenght but +10%... so if you have a base of 70, that give you +7

So definitly Bruiser and 45% break tackle

Just to confirm that the 45% is on top of your normal break tackles. So if you normally break 30% of your tackles you would now break 43.5% of your tackles.

Bruiser and short yard monster percentages, do they add up together or separate?

Bruiser, last season my Power HB (85 Str) broke on average 3-4 tackles against non-blowout teams. This season he has 15 in Bruiser and 9 in Tenacious and he's averaving 17 broken tackles a game (then again, my SA's are 5-8-6-11-4 with CE, so my +45% might be a good deal bigger than your +45%, i'd still take Bruiser first).

So how much of that is from bruiser/tenacious and how much is from the much-lamented Bort tweaks to powerbacks?

i'd say it has at least a little to do with VAs.... I did nothing with my power back VAs for the first 2 games, and got nothing in return. it would seem that whatever is making power back ticks this year has eluded me (gotta be the VA's)

Tried Bruiser in the preseason, didn't like it, changed to Workout Warrior (74.64 base strength) and planning to go Power Through all the way. Got a +Power Through SA piece of equipment, and while I had it at 5 in the preseason, getting it to each of 6,7,8,9, etc seems to make all the difference in the world from what I hear.
Bruiser might not have been very effective because I was playing against higher leveled competition, but that's not going to change any time soon, and I think maxing Power Through is the best way to take on higher leveled defenders rather than Bruiser/Lower Shoulder/excessive amounts of carrying.
I'll get Bruiser for sure after I have WW at 10 since I'll have VPs just sitting around.
