Make him whatever you want. Yeah, power backs looks like super heroes right now, but you've been around long enough to know that shit changes like daily. Just pick the direction you like the most and go with it. But pick soon, he's already a level 31.

Power backs are getting a nerf in their favor. It will take more str and tackling to bring them down, soon enough. Everyone should build power backs now. If you go to the linebacker forum, you'll see most people neglect Str and tackling, thanks to Rod Long's wonderful Guide at "how not to screw up a linebacker".

And to answer your question. your guy would make a great power back.

You could 3rd cap strength at level 34 spending your next 3 levels' worth of SP on it. After that your power SA tree could be like this not including the +1 from CE:

Level 35
1-1-2-2-0
Level 36
1-2-2-4-0
Level 37
1-2-3-5-0
Level 38
1-2-4-6-0
Level 39
2-4-4-6-0 or 1-2-4-7-0
Level 40
3-5-4-6-0 or 2-4-4-7-0 or 1-2-4-8-0

You'd end up fine, but until you're up to at least 6 in Power Through, I'd keep all your equipment in speed just to keep you afloat.

Looks like my guy almost. Just less Str and Speed and points in the Elusive Tree.

Agreed. Right now power back seems the best choice, but 1 month from now it could be totally different. I'd just make a choice soon and stick with it. You've probably invested too much in strength to end up with enough speed to be a truly effective elusive back, so power back is the way I would go, because that power back's gonna need that speed to be effective, but not vice versa.

But whichever way you choose, I think that shockingly low vision is going to hold you back. Fix that.

vision sucks imo

If your strength is already that high you may as well go the power back route because that strength would be useless as an elusive back.

But of course those points in Head Fake are kind of useless as a power back. I'm not a fan of vision for power backs either. But still, I will some day intense train it with confidence and/or catching.

I've watched plenty of backs not hit the right hole, or not find it soon enough, because their vision is too low. Just my personal experience. When I noticed my power back doing that early on in his career, I got his vision up and he didn't do it anymore.
