on the depth chart. this way a team can have plays for a rushing Qb and pocket presence qb. that way it can be fully used.

no there shouldn't be. Too easily exploited and would be way over powered. I don't think Bort just happened to forget to add qb1 and qb2 when he made the change last season.

As usual, I disagree with Ilok. While it could be exploited by putting a WR or HB there, that is easily fixed if Bort simply makes the out-of-position penalty ridiculous. I've seen people wildcatting it up and it's only effective to a point - I don't think it would be overpowered at all.

As it is though, it's perfectly possible to get a WR or HB at QB, when you want him to, in order to run a wildcat style of offense. It's a bit more complicated than simply having the QB1/QB2 depth chart, but it can still be done with relative ease.

bort really isn't that great at fixing things if you haven't noticed!

Tbh the way the game is going with insane 1-dimesional builds evry position would do with a 1 and 2 depth chart. Being able to have a rushing O-Line and a Passing O-Line would actually allow us to create a team that could do something about these insane defence builds. I hate that my QB has to live with rush blocking OT's just because there is no way to set up my passing offence for certain.

Letting us use specific QB's would be a start

I don't think the issue is putting a WR or HB at QB, but having a rushing QB and passing QB and alternating them randomly. How do you build a defense to account for that? I'm no DC, but I'm pretty sure you can't create situations based on their personnel. This isn't the same situation as "3rd and short, expect the power back to come in". If they rush out of the shotgun and you're playing the pass you're going to give up a good chunk of yards. If you go to stop the rushing QB you open yourself up for the pocket QB to pick you apart.

Just get two if you want them.

that is the main problem and I think the reason why Bort doesn't do it is teams will basically have to build two different AIs to counter teams that build QB1 and QB2. Regardless before this option happens, defenses will have to be able to adjust to the personnel on the field, because if you haqve 1 QB that passes 100% of the time and 1 Qb that runs 100% a defense will be able to pick up on that really quickly. If there is an option that isn't too time consuming or people able to exploit it (changing the QB1 and QB2 30 minutes before the game sim so there is no way to game plan for it) it won't be too effective cause teams will just put in a run defense everytime the running QB is in the game and will dominate him.
