Not sure if the 10% to speed (about 8.5 total additional speed) is worth it. Thinking the 2% each level to slip a tackle may be good. What do you guys think?

How many tackles does your receiver break? You have to remember that is +2% of your existing chance, not a flat 2% chance per level. If you break 40 tackles a year, then +20% or +30% to your chance would be noticeable. If you break 5 tackles a season, it is probably not going to do much. If there is only a 10% chance of breaking a tackle normally then that 30% bonus takes you all the way up to a grand total of 13%. And you only had to spend 15 VA points to get it...

Track Star and Quick if he's a speedster. Sure Hands is also a great choice.
EDIT: You know the 10% increase is to your base speed right? Not speed plus EQ. So the bonus won't be 8.5, unless you really have 85 base speed.

if you are pure speedster then Id still go Track Star.
reason is that your speed advantage is relative and CBs will likely be catching you up by getting speed to second/third caps, using equipment etc ...
but my guess is that a lot of CBs are not using track star as there are other options to distract them
of course quick is also good, but Id go track star and use first step/change direction for your agility boosts....

I have 5 on Track Star and another 5 on Quick. That means both are supposed to be about 3.2-3.4 higher because my base for both is 65 and 66. At this point, that much more is pretty valuable. I've thought about Go to Guy, Clutch, and Red Zone Freak but why get a chance for a bonus in specific situations when you can have a guaranteed bonus at all times?

That was my thinking too. I have 10 in Track Star and Quick right now. Sure Hands and Quick Feet are the only other ones I'm considering putting points in, but I might just max out Track Star and Quick first, a 15% bonus to a base 68 stat is the equivalent of like 40 SP, which is pretty incredible.

Well since Bort added the reset for VA, I put 6 into Go to Guy for my game against a decent CPU team. The results were 7 receptions for 35 yards. 3 other WRs also had 7 or more receptions and were targeted just as much. Not a good VA if you ask me.

Here is the rub on this, we have no idea how it works, how much bonus it gives and where in the QB pass check it occurs. If it is like all the other bonuses, the bonus is going to be extremely low, especially when you can get the bonus to activate 75% of the time if you 15 point it. That right there says it is probably not to great. I imagine this is probably best for high catching, slow, less agile WRs who would normally be the target if catching was #1 on the QB read list, but since it is #9, they are probably passed over. I imagine this is for them to up their looks since there issue isn't "can he catch it", but is "will he pass it to me."

good assessment mob, my thinking as well... seems like a tremendous waste. if you need a go to guy, have the QB set wr preferences. I'm with hiimjake: track star, quick, sure hands possibly later, but I do like clutch as well.

worthless statwhore ability.
I'm capping track star, then quick, then I'll check out some of the ones that deal with fake/avoidance SAs and breaking tackles
