How important is this attribute for DEs? Is there a minimum to where I should have it, or are people having great success with it being in the teens? Did you see a drastic improvement once you put points in it? Let me know.

I would never spend SPs on it...
Train it with tackling or stamina...

I'm over 30 on my guys and I've seen a handful more diving tackles and deflections, but nothing greatly significant so far.

It's definitely good enough to train, probably not good enough to put SP's into it.

I think jumping helps you get off the line faster, ie. First Step.

My DT has it in the high 20s currently and has been batting down more passes- especially times when the QB is quick throwing to the TE or HB

so definitely worth training

Cool, I'll train it and not put any SPs into it. Thanks.

I've trained my DT up to high teens jumping and have been deflecting a pass here and there whereas before I never had a PD.

30's jumping and 4 in swat ball, I've only gotten pd's on dump passes to the RB. You'd think we could stick up an arm at some point.

I just started training in Jumping, up ti 25 now with 4 in ball swap, had 2 PD's yesterday as a DT. I am thinking its gonna get better too.

Jumping has made a huge difference for my DE. He always had very high number of hurries but only mediocre sacks so it pumped jumping from low 20's all the way to 38. You judge the difference:

low 20's:

tackles - 65
Hurries - 137
Sacks - 37
TFL - 13
PD's - 1

Mid 30's:

tackles - 137
Hurries - 91
Sacks - 70
TFL - 33
PD's - 6

Where else did you add points during this time frame? Or was it only all Jumping?

and on which DE? I dont see these #'s on any of your DE's. not that a few of them don't have good stats though.
