very experienced speed pass rushing DE looking to get some input on the vet abilities. I don't know what to choose. im stuck between red zone freak, clutch, sure tackler, and power tackler. I kind of wish there were more defensive specific choices. any ideas?

I am a little surprised that you don't jump on track star, quick and/or the strength one...

I personally think clutch looks very interesting, and red zone is clearly strong.

Clutch is way too ambigious for me to put any points into until I have a better idea of what it really does

though all the other one seem very sexy, you can never go wrong with the stat modifiers like track star and quick.
maxed either one and you have 15% increase, max redzone or clutch you get a 50% chance at around a 5% increase.

id say stat modifiers go first then the other ones

the safe bet is to increase your attributes

quick = 1% agility
track star = 1% speed
workout warrior = 1% strength

if you have like base 80 agility and put 10 into quick then you would in effect increase agility by 8 pts.(80 x 10% = 8 + 80 = 88) or at least that is what it seems to mean. (you have to subtract how many points are due to equipment before you multiply)

who knows whether all that other razzle dazzle crap will really make your player any better. or at least it will probably take a couple seasons to figure out which ones are really good

yeah but who knows if quick and track star apply to SA's either. For instance shed block uses agility but is that determined before or after quick VA? no one knows shit

^^just speculating, but i'd say befor VA. everything else in this game seems to go based on natural abilities, so i figure Bort would just keep it homogenous.

Quick & Track Star are obviously very good.

Clutch & Red Zone look appealing to me but I'm a bit cautious on them for the moment until I really see them pay off or hear testimonials from multiple people.

If your build is based on high agility and speed how could you not go for Quick and Track Star?

Anyone put any thought into long reach? I am not brave enough to put my points into it, but it seems like it could be interesting...

I wouldn't do long reach with DE's but I'm not playing much zone blitz either.

I would say look at your highest base stat (agi, spd, str) and dump as many points into the VA associated with that skill.

Click on your skills tab to look at your base skills without any equipment etc.

It's simply a math thing in this case.

Would you prefer:

15% of 80
or
15% of 70

(speaking only about GLB skill points obviously)

One thought.........The block of VA's ( and EQ ) are a one off chance to change emphasis of player build,if need be.

My speed ish DE sucked today in comparison to our LDE.I might have to shift EQ and dump ALL my VA on Agility and use next lot of SP on strength.
