Warrior General Games

This week is going to be tough as we have a lot of nice match ups. Well, here goes.

Miami Brawlers vs Georgia Storm 27-14 (correct 19-0)
Both teams are coming in undefeated. Georgia is coming off of a nice defeat in a heated rivalry game. Miami gave up their first touchdown since they played the Nudists. Georgia will play tough but Miami will get the win.

Cleveland Gladiators vs Nashville Crushers 44-9 (correct 52-0)
Nashville is a better team than their record indicates. Cleveland is coming off of three shut-outs in a row. The Gladiators will score early and often but finally give up some points. They will be too much for Nashville this week.

Las Vegas Flyin Elvis vs Chocolate City Cha Chings 17-24 (incorrect 34-0)
Both teams are coming in hot. Elvis is considered by many a top 5 team in the league. Even a top 3 team. I like the Cha Chings in this game however. Look for them to pull the upset.

Chicago Storm vs New Jersey Revolution 33-6 (correct 20-13)
Chicago is coming off of a tough loss to their stormy rival. And the Revolution are coming off of a tough loss to the Assassins. I don't think they have the offense to keep this one close. The Storm will come away with another notch in their belt.

North Carolina Nudists vs Liberty City Convicts 55-0 (correct 20-7)
The Nudists are on a two game winning streak and are playing tough. Liberty City has yet to get a win this season. They have a good quarterback but no targets to speak of. Look for the Nudists to come up big here.

Bud Dry Beer Barons vs College Station Stallions 9-12 (incorrect 24-7)
Two offensively challenged teams do battle this week at Bud Dry. All four of College Stations losses were against good teams. Look for them to get their first win this week and against Robocop and the gang.

Milwaukee Beers vs St. Louis Assassins 9-14 (correct 10-17)
This should be a very close game. It is a very tough game for me to call. I am going to say that the Assassins passing game will put them over the top.

Virginia Hustlers vs Chicago Commandos 21-15 (correct 6-3)
I think that the Commandos are going to keep this game interesting but the Hustlers are going to get their second win of the season.

I hope to see a few more guys making predictions this week.

I predict the Nashville/Gladiator's scoreline will be a little closer than first thought. The Crushers took it to the Storm (Georgia Kind) back in week 2 (or was it 3) and with all players close to 100% they may be due to make the Eastern Conference Big Guns stand up and take notice.

Hey good luck to you man. But we aren't Georgia. I am not much on trash talking but I think we are going to slap you around a bit. But after the game, win or lose, I will be there to shake your hand.

I don't mind others trash talking. I just avoid it so I don't look stupid if I lose.

lostinkorea, he's right. The score will likely be closer than that. We have our settings to favor backups if we're up by 21. That's going to drain our backups some and allow Nashville to stay in the game. It's just how it happens to work out.

I wouldn't call down by 21 staying in the game. And I was generous and gave them 3 fgs in my prediction. And if I am not mistaken we used the same setting for the last game.

Thanks for the high remarks lostinkorea. I hope we don't let you down. I must admit the Elves are a strong team and finding a weakness to exploit is difficult. They lost their first game because of a good passing attack. I don't know if our WR's can come through, they struggled the last two games. Plus the stupid computer tries to start making us run the ball way too early when we have a lead.

Hopefully we can catch you guys down the road because we are getting better quickly.

I would make predictions but we are still trying to fill a couple positions and I think you guys know how hard recruiting can be. Maybe in a few more games I will chime in.

I recruited before I even had the team. Me and one of my offensive lineman post on a Brown's board and decided to give the game a try. I used my initial fps to make a fs. Signed him with a good team and got to play in a playoff game. Unfortunately we lost but I got the bug. So I bought a bunch of fps(not going to say how many ) and planned to buy a team. We advertised as a Brown's fan team when there were no teams and everybody was looking for a team. I had to drive to work while everyone was waiting for Bort and DD to release the teams. When I got to work I signed on and there was only one Cleveland team left and I grabbed it. There were a few other guys with the same idea but we got a pretty decent core from recruiting early. Than to fill the team we all made a few more players. Slowly other Brown's fans signed their guys up. By the time the season started we had most of the guys that we have now. I am now mostly concentrating on keeping the guys we have. A good portion have already signed long term contracts. I try to give everybody equal playing time and I have promised to never sign a high level FA where we are already full. I got lucky and three of the Brown's fans stepped up to be OC, DC and GM. They have done a great job for us and everyone communicates well on the forums. They more you let your guys help decide what direction the team is going the more they have fun and want to stay. I think we all have a great time and the guys know that the GM's, OC's, DC's, and my door is always open if they have a comment or complaint. We are having a great time.

Very familiar story, except change Browns to Saints.

There were already a couple Saints teams geared up when I bought the team and basically took the new guys that wanted to start but there were only a few. I spent more money than I ever imagined just to fill my team with decent talent to help recruiting. You really have no idea how hard recruiting is when all you have on a team is a bunch of level 2 computer players. Once I filled up with level 4 guys, then the level 6 guys would at least listen when sending a contract. Finally after I had a decent human team together (about the time we played you) a couple guys stepped up and started helping on the recruits or would bring there players over. Then we landed a couple big time players and now we are just looking to add at certain places. I guaranteed a couple starting jobs but most of our team just wants to win so if we can add high level players at spots without killing play time for others we will. For the most part the team we have now is the team we are going to roll with. I will be trading away some of my players for equal players on other teams so I don't have so many players.

I just named the defensive coordinator and have a good GM in place. We are still looking to fill a couple roles on the team but it looks like the hard part is over and the fun part is just beginning.

We gambled on a game plan, sometimes gambles just don't pay off. Rest assured if we meat Las Vegas again in the playoffs, we'll be prepared. Great game from them, and great effort from our side, though the numbers may not show it.
