Monmouth Evil Monkeys V Boston Nighthawks.
It all comes down to this. Day 40 and the beasts from the East play the best of the West. The 18-1 Evil Monkeys look to take out the 19-0 Nighthawks in what should be a great game.
Boston has dominated in the playoffs winning by an average of 35 points. In the process they have totally changed their offensive persona, going from running down peoples throats to "Air Nighthawk". Their Defense that only gave up more than 20 points once all regular season has taken it to another level in the post season only giving up 26 points in 3 games.
Monmouth has had three solid double digit playoff victories. They seemed to have got over their early round turnover issues and their balanced offensive attack has been putting up 44 points an outing. Their pressure Defense was able to control the famed HHW running game in their last outing and is playing at a very high level.
Keys for the game:
Bostons offensive line is going to have to deal with one of the best front 7's in USA PRO. The Evil Monkneys D-line spends alot of time in the other teams backfield and the LB's are there to pick up the scraps.
Defensively the Nighthawks need to find a way to pressure Drago, when Monmouth's passing game gets time they are deadly.
The Evil Monkeys need to figure out a way to play a balanced defensive game. Boston has the ability to kill you in the air or on the ground and they will be a true test of the Monkeys game plan.
On the offensive side of the ball Monmouth needs to establish a ground game to control the clock and keep Bostons high powered attack off the field. The Monkey line is equally adapt at opening holes for their backs as it is for blocking for the QB so this should be a solid test for the Nighthawks D-line.
In what should be a GLB instant classic I'm going with THE EVIL MONKEYS to win 35-27.
