The All HB Squad
Welcome to the first ever All HB team. I wanted to get something out to recognize the top performers this season, and figured, why not do my own All Madden type team? So here it is, the top SE Asia Pro performers from Season 6, as seen through my eyes.

Offense
Quarterback
Jim Zorn - Bangkok Seamen - Zorn had his best season of his illustrious career this year throwing for 4200 yards and 54 TDs, while only throwing 9 Ints. Zorn completed 66% of his passes and was only sacked 6 times all year as he helped lead the Seamen to the number 5 seed.

Half Backs
Beav Nizzle - East St Louis Tire Fires - No way Beav the Beast can be left off this list. Nizzle put up the best numbers of his career with 4059 yards and 90 TD's, while only losing 5 fumbles on 473 carries. He also posted an 8.6 avg and lead the Tire Fires to clinching home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Being second in the conference in first downs doesn't hurt either.

Gavin Dunn - Bandar Lampung Pigskin Pirates - I had to include Mr. Dunn after for the season he's had. The numbers are eye popping - 3500 yards, 53 TD's and a 10.2 YPC. He also added 48 receptions for 700 yards and 9 TDs, proving he is the complete package at half back.

Full Back
Big Blocka - Niagara Jeanhorns - To me, a Fullback first and foremost needs to be a punishing lead blocker. Big fulfilled that this season by totalling 112 pancakes while helping Niagara clinch the 7th playoff seed.

Honorable mention to Rock Power - Bandar Lampung Pigskin Pirates

Wide Receivers
Starters
Peter Pai - Chaiyaphum Gothic - Emerging as the Gothic's top threat, Pai put up 1600 yards and 23 TDs on 80 receptions this season. He also added 4 Punt return TDs and a 37 yard average on only 15 returns. Helping lead the Gothic back to the post season is also a great accomplishment for Pai.

Tio Moss - Shanghai Shaolin Monks - Moss put up staggering numbers for the Monks with 208 receptions for 2797 yards and 20 TDs. He averaged over 60 plays a game and only had 12 drops on the season, which with the amount of looks he received, isn't many at all.

Slot
Tony Holmes - Port Moresby Titans - A natural slot receiver, Holmes had his most productive season to date. He hauled in 88 catches, for 1937 yards and 22 TD's. He also only had 7 drops this season.

4th
Duper Clayton - Shanghai Shaolin Monks - The other half of the Monks passing attack, Clayton also had 208 receptions, for 2100 yards and 14 TD's.

Tight Ends
Joey Ditka - Kamakura Katanas - Easily put up the best stats of any tight end in the league this year, catching 33 passes, for 660 yards and 10 TDs. He also added 49 pancakes while participating in 47 snaps a game for the third ranked Katanas. Being second on his team in receptions and yards, and first in receiving TD's didn't hurt his cause either. Another note - how can you not love a man named after da coach?

Humbert Humber - East St Louis Tire Fires - Humbert had a tremendous season, putting up 31 reception for 539 yards(17.4 avg) and 6 TD's. He also added 31 pancakes while playing over 40 snaps a game and finishing third on the Tire fires in yards, TD's and receptions.

Offensive Tackles
Left - Bustyer Chops - East St Louis Tire Fires - Bustyer put his name on the map with a shutout of People's Elbow in last season's Super Wok, and backed it up this year with 122 pancakes while averaging 60 plays a game. He was also superb in pass protection, anchoring a unit that only gave up 25 hurries and 9 sacks.

Right - China's Wall - Bandar Lampung Pigskin Pirates - 125 pancakes, and a member of the third best pass protecting unit in the conference. The Pirates also put up ridiculous numbers on the ground, many times behind one of China's big blocks.

Swing Tackle - Walter Pancake Jones - Bangkok Seamen - The LOT of one of the top pass protecting lines, Jones showed he can hold his own in the run game with 52 pancakes as well.

Offensive Guards
Tom Thayer and Bulldog Turner - East St. Louis Tire Fires - Few players could come close to the ESL's duos snaps per game(58 and 62) matched with there production(200 and 138 pancakes) They also helped lead the Tar Fars to the top rushing offense putting up 6300 yards(8 avg) and 104 TDs on the ground.

Backup - Bob DeBilder - Hong Kong Highlanders - With 136 pancakes while playing over 70 plays a game, Bob has been a rock for the Highlanders ground game. He also helped the Highlanders rush for over 3600 yards and a 5.5 average.

Center
Calvin Booth - Bangkok Seamen - The Seamen's line only gave up 6 sacks and 27 hurries all season, and also had one of the best rushing attacks in the league. It was hard to choose which member of the unit to go with, but in the end, it all starts with the Line General. He might not have the flashiest stats(only 23 pancakes) but it's hard to argue with the Seamen's product on the field.

Backup - Eddie Schwarz - Singapore Marauders - Schwarz helped lead the 3rd best rushing attack in SE Asia. He also added 115 pancakes as many of Singapore's over 5000 yards came right behind one of his crushing blocks.

Defense
Defensive Ends
Left
Eric Cooper - Hong Kong Highlanders - Playing 60 snaps a game, Cooper had his best season ever with the Highlanders this year. 123 tackles, 74 hurries, 58 sacks, 28 TFL, 7 pass deflections, a forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries and a safety. Cooper has emerged as one the best DE's in the league, and needs to be accounted for on every play.

People's Elbow - Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon - It's not a true list without People's Elbow, who had another fine season this year. PE put up 95 tackles, 55 hurries, 62 sacks 8 TFL and a forced fumble in what could be unfortunately NACJAC's last season.

Right
TooStrong Jones - Louisiana Screaming Pelicans - Jones has been a force behind the LOS for the Pelican's this season, with 47 sacks, 60 hurries, 9 TFL and a safety. Jones also added 2 pass deflections, 79 tackles, 4 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Patrick Kerney - Bangkok Seamen - Kerney was a beast for the Seamen, teaming with teammate Darryl Tapp to BE the Seamen's pass rush this season. He was a constant annoyance for opposing teams, piling up 47 sacks, 44 hurries and 6 tackles for loss.

Defensive Tackles
The big boys, this is where it all starts. If you can't own the line of scrimmage, you can't win the game.
NT
Horse Cartwright - Manila Hitmen - Anchoring the 4th best rush D in Naga, Cartwright put up impressive stats for a Nose, the 300 lber put up 37 tackles with 18 hurries, 1 sack and 15 tackles for loss. He also added 10 pass deflections, and a fumble recovery as well.

Runn Stuffer - Kamakura Katanas - Anchoring the 5th best rush D in the league, RS made 38 tackles, 13 hurries, 3 sacks 9 tackles for loss and 3 forced fumbles. He also added 2 pass deflections and helped the Katanas claim the number 3 spot in there first season.

DT
Bevin Billiams - Hong Kong Highlanders - The Billiams wall had a very impressive season for the Highlanders being a rock in the middle for them. With 38 tackles, 36 hurries, 3 sacks, 10 TFL, 2 PD, 1 INT, a FF and 2 fumble recoveries, he caused havoc in both the run and passing games.

Lester Gaines - Ho Chi Mean Hot Mamas - 46 tackles, 34 hurries, 4 sacks, 7 TFL, 1 PD, 1 FF and 1 Fumble recovery this season. He won this spot by having his best game vs the Hustlers.

Honorable Mention - Dom Peko - Hong Kong Hustlers

Outside Linebackers
Here we need some guys that are quick to read and react, can rush the passer but still be solid in pass coverage. Big hitters always will get more love from me as nothings better than a mean hard hitting D.

Right - Nicholas Delieto - Kamakura Katanas - The numbers speak for themselves - 131 tackles, 30 sacks, 28 hurries, 1 INT(for a TD) 2 FF, 1 Fumble Recovery(for a TD) 18 pass deflections. Oh yeah, the Katanas got a home playoff game too which didn't hurt his cause.

Left - Terry "Pain Train" Tate - Niagara Jeanhorns - Terry has been huge for the Jeanhorns, leading the team in tackles, while being one of the teams best pass defenders as well(2nd in PD and Int) Tate is a big hitter, and even added a defensive score this year. Here's his stats - 147 tackles, 28 pass deflections, 3 interceptions, 6 forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery for a TD. It's tough to imagine Niagara where they are today without Tate.

Swing - Dick Cheney - Taiwan Blood Pandas - 97 tackles, 8 hurries, 5 sacks, 14 TFL, 7 Ints(3 brought back for scores) 3 FF and 2 fumble recoveries. An amazing season for anyone, but when you take into account that he only played 35 snaps a game, it makes it worth that much more.

Honorable mention - Mark Fields - Louisiana Screaming Pelicans

Inside Linebackers
I'm a Bears fan, and we have a history of great MLB's. Urlacher, Singletary, Butkus, George....you need not only a great athlete, but a great mind and mean streak to excel at the position. The leader of the defense, the MLB needs to be able to match an opposing QB move for move like a chess match. He is one who will inspire his defense to great heights in the most critical of situations. That's what we are looking for here.

Brian Batista - East St Louis Tire Fires - Batista had the season of his career, registering 70 tackles(only 3 missed tackles), 10 hurries 3 sacks, 14 TFL, 10 pass deflections, 3 IN'ts(all returned for TD's) 1 Forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries. Playing almost 60 snaps a game while leading one of the leagues top defenses, Batista has emerged to become the playmaker ESL envisioned when they acquired him a few seasons ago. His game changing pick against Mekong sparked a miraculous comeback and changed the course of ESL's season.

Fat Fro - Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon - Fro had a tremendous season for the defending Garuda champs, registering 82 tackles(only 3 missed) 7 hurries, 5 sacks, 9 tackles for loss, and 16 PD 3 INTs(2 returned for TD. He averaged 55 snaps a game while leading NACJAC to one of the top run D's in Garuda.

Cornerbacks
Everyone loves Deion Sanders type CB's, and since this is the best of the best we will be getting those shutdown, ballhawking CB's. But how they would play in a game would be more based on there ability to stuff the run as well. I like physical corners who aren't afraid to get there nose dirty, and missed tackles are not something you want to see coming from this position.

Starters
Kelly Bojangles Bojangles - Bangkok Seamen - Kelly has been one of the best CB's in Se Asia since his first season, but this year may have been his best. 14 ints, 7 returned for TD's and 74 pass deflections are staggering numbers.

LockDown Jones - Louisiana Screaming Pelicans - Stepping up to the big leagues didn't mean much to LSP as they stormed through the regular season with one of the top pass D's in the league. Leading the charge was LockDown, with 13 picks, 6 returned for scored and 35 pass deflections. He also added 58 tackles and 8 tackles for loss.

Nickle Back
Larry Stickems - Krakatoan Red Warriors - The league leader in INT's, there is no way you can leave this guy off the team. With 15 ints, 8 returned for scores, 48 pass break ups, 59 tackles and even a sack, Larry was a sparkplug for this team. He also lead the league in defensive scores.

Dime Back
Teri Songs - Chaiyaphum Gothic - Songs performed exceptionally this season, helping lead the Gothic to one of, if not the best pass defense in SE Asia Pro. He snagged 12 picks this season, returning 5 for TD's. He registered 64 tackles, 1 hurry and 2 fumble recoveries as well.

Safeties
I like safeties that can hit, and I mean really lay the wood. I'm talking Mike Brown type safeties. Ones that are always around the ball and can make plays, but when the opportunity arises, will just knock an opposing players lights out.

Free Safety
Frank Stallone - East St Louis Tire Fires - One of the few players with the athelticism and intelligence to cover the entire field, Frank is a menance in run defense recording 64 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Stallone is also able to get back and prevent the big play, evidenced by his 17 pass deflections, and an interception he returned for a TD. Stallone is one of the leaders of the ESL defense, and averaged 68 plays a game this season.

Strong Safety
Tumble Weed - Krakatoan Red Warriors - There were quiet a few candidates for this spot, but in the end 80 tackles with only 2 missed tackles was what put Weed over the top. He also added a tackle for loss, 18 pass deflections, 3 INTs(1 returned for a TD) 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries(1 returned for a TD). Tumble also played 60 snaps a game.

Swing Safety
Marin Shagov - Kamakura Katanas - Marin had a very good year in his own right for the newcomer Katanas and proved he belonged in this league with his play. He registered 71 tackles, along with 3 hurries, 13 tackles for loss, 7 pass deflections, an interception, forced fumble and 3 fumble recoveries(1 returned for a score) He logged 50 snaps a game, while helping the Katanas with there impressive first season.

Special Teams

Kicker
Get My Money Right - Manila Hitmen - A perfect 30 for 30, and 8 of 8 from 40+. He also only missed 3 XP's all season, which seem to be some of the toughest kicks in all of GLB.

Punter
Tom Longhaul - Singapore Marauders - The league leader in yards per punt at 48.9, he didn't see much action(35 attempts) but sure made the most of the punts he did make.

Kick Returner
Hue Fu Dat - Hong Kong Highlanders - 3 kick return TDs on only 34 attempts, with a 32 yard average and over 1000 yards is quiet the season.

Punt Returner
Iam Ridiculous - East St Louis Tire Fires - Mr Ridiculous will be adding a few more trophies to his case after another outstanding season. On 137 punt returns, he averaged 36.4 yards while bringing 31 back for TDs
