AFTER REVIEWING THE P-B-P: WOW, what a game! it came down to the team that scored last won. I think if we had another 1 min of game time we would have won. You guys pulled out a CLUTCH drive at the 1:51 mark in the 4th quarter. Going for it on 4th and 10 and getting 17 yds -- very nice.

Several people with over 60 in str+tackling missed more than one tackle, etcetera.
Punters average yards were 20 less that game.
But fair enough, just how it goes some days.

There is such an added importance and disappointment when things go wrong in the playoffs versus regular season that realistically we have to question whether we're being over emotional about it.. but I have seen so many weird things and different type performances in the playoffs that I had to pose a question in the forums to bort that will probably never be answered and ask if there are playoff modifiers that change teams.
It's really a sour grapes approach to blame your loss on anyone other than yourself or give credit to the victor, but when those weird oddities happen, it just drives you nuts with wondering about the conspiracy factors and "what-ifs"
Like why did a WR with 50 carry fumble when hit by a low tackling FS? Why did a team suddenly have their 5th string CB playing 60 plays with his 30 stamina and get torched repeatedly.. Why did a HB that we controlled all day long suddenly go for 88 yards?
There probably are logical explanations, but I think for pily, and sometimes myself, you can't help but wonder outloud if there's another force at play. (probably not.)

Or to add to my previous argument.. Why did Goshen inexplicably go from the best team in the western conference, to a team that can barely beat an 8 seed that has been beaten soundly by every other decent team?
Or the flip side.. How did one of my other player's teams in another league that lost by 30 points in the regular season and was dominated, in an unchanged playoff rematch suddenly become the dominating team?
Maybe it is what it is.. That's just how it goes in competitive balance.. But when all of the regular season is so predictable and cookie cutter, and the playoffs are this weird crap shoot.. You really do have to ask these questions sometimes.

Wasn't saying this is a new thing that no one else experiences. Hell our motherload team experienced similar defeat in the playoffs against a team we destroyed in the regular season. Lost in the first round to an 8 seeded team that had issues this season. Just pointing out how fucked up a game is that we give up 32 passing yards and 400 rushing yards due to missed tackles even though we gameplan for the run defensively. And the fact that anything said in lieu of dutch harbor not blowing out teams offends wulf like an insult to his mother. Sure they may have a better squad, but that game was so abstractly simmed it's a wonder.

I kind of see what you're saying, but come on... you had three picks and returned 2 for TDs. You can't exactly say you didn't get some breaks.

We lost IN PART because Tijuana suddenly started playing better and we suddenly started playing worse.. but primarily because I didn't put in a clock kill function when we went three scores late in the game. We kept passing, and suddenly we couldn't move the ball at all.

If anything, it should be a random thing like that big Houston Oilers/Bills thing in the playoffs some 15-20 years ago.
