depends on your opponent. if they have slow Cbs and your WRs and beat them deep then favor deep

I like to favor the OPEN man.
But I also call a run-based offense and would rather get a 10 yard completion than a 20 yard incomplete pass or INT. Protect the ball, move it down the field at a steady pace and the big plays will come.
