Man Coverage distance: far?
coverage style: medium?

I want the FS to double receivers that are 15 to 25 yards downfield instead of taking a man right off the line.

both cover 1 and cover 2 will do this, I believe

cover one, the FS will be by himself WAy far back in a deep zone, cover 2 he will be on one side and the SS will be on the other...in two deep zones on either side of the field....I have a feeling what you want is the cover1 / 2 and nothing to do with the the other stuff..

Truth. Like was said, Cover 1 = FS playing centerfield. Cover 2 has him split the field with the SS.

I like the Cover 1 with coverage distance long. That drops the FS back far. I'll play aggressive with my front ten and let the FS catch any guys that get by.

I'm starting to prefer the aggressive route, since the Offense has to execute to succeed more consecutive series than I do as a defense. The key to that is not giving up the big play, so that's why I don't like selling out with cover 0.

jmho.

Cover 1, and have the FS set his tactics to loose coverage.

I'm a big fan of cover 1 with run focus/short coverage, since the SS is in a good position to defend the run, and the FS is back to help out with the deep threats.
