1. Boston Nighthawks (14-0)
Defeated Philly 46-7
Ranking: Unchanged (previous 1)

When you can beat a team like Philly by 39, what hopes to the rest of us have?

2. Detroit Demon Lions (12-2)
Defeated Pirates 56-14
Ranking: 0 (previous 2)

May be the only hope of beating Boston in the East, but it will take some "Expert Strategy"

3. Washington Bullets (11-3)
Defeated Maulers 47-14
Ranking: +1 (previous 4)

Would the real Bullets please stand up? A shellacking of a solid playoff team including 8 sacks only giving up 24 yards rushing.

4. Green Bay Maulers (10-4)
Lost to Bullets 47-14
Ranking: -1 (previous 3)

Ranked #4 based on H2H vs. Cincy and Philly. Green Bay is much better than they played vs. the Bullets. They look to win out the rest of the season and hold on to their home playoff game.

5. Cincinnati Shockers (10-4)
Beat Doomsday 31-19
Ranking: +1 (previous 4)

Solid win over the Sin holding them to under 300 yards of offense.

6. Philadelphia Pushovers (10-4)
Lost to Boston 46-7
Ranking: -2 (previous 4)

Three losses in a row has this team reeling. They are unlikely to capture a home playoff game and a matchup with the Bullets await in the first round.

7. Chicago Mustangs (8-6)
Defeated Red Wolves 47-21
Ranking: 0 (previous 7)

That's 5 in a row for the Windy City Boys

8. Orlando Pirates (7-7)
Lost to DDL 56-14
Ranking: 0 (previous 8)

Ugly loss to DDL, especially on offense. With the Maulers and the Nighthawks to follow, the Pirates hold on the final playoff spot is tenuous at best.

9. Doomsday Sin (7-7)
Lost to Shockers 31-19
Ranking: 0 (previous 9)

Doomsday probably needs to win only one of their last two to sneak into the playoffs.

10. Gridiron Rage (6-8)
Defeated Madcats 54-7
Ranking: +1 (previous 11)

Very nice win vs. Madcats. Gallo still not given chances to get the ball downfield though as the team stresses the running game.

11. Rhode Island Red Wolves (5-9)
Lost to Mustangs 47-21
Ranking: -1 (previous 10)

Second bad loss in a row for the Wolves. Eliminated from the playoffs, can still play playoff spoiler with a win vs. the Sin.

12. Kalamazoo Coyotes (5-9)
Defeated Warpath 180-0
Ranking: 0 (previous 12)

Next season can't come soon enough for K-zoo

The rest:

13. Philadelphia Continentals 3-11 (unch.)
14. Kentucky Madcats 2-12 (unch.)
15. D.C Warpath 2-12 (unch.)
16. Camden Outkasts 0-14 (unch.)

Anyone know how the multi-team ties with circular H2H work out?

In the past Boston has taken some flack for running too much. It's interesting to see that in their last few games around 2/3 of their yards have come through the air and it hasn't seemed to slow them down at all.

Wow, we could have 4 teams all at 12-4 by the end of the season.

Green Bay: +Cincinnati, +Philadelphia, -Washington
Washington: +Cincinnati, +Green Bay, -Philadelphia
Cincinnati: +Philadelphia, -Green Bay, -Washington
Philadelphia: +Washington, -Green Bay, -Cincinnati

I would think it'd go Washington, Green Bay, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, but that's just me. I say this because GB & Washington are the only two with two wins against the other three teams and Washington took the head-to-head w/ GB. Same story w/ Cincy/Philly (both with 1 win, 2 losses against the other 3 12-4 teams, Cincy w/ the H2H winner).

Personally, I'd love to see a Cincy/GB rematch in the 1st round. It'd be the 6th meeting between the two teams and we still owe them a playoff loss.

I mean as "dirty" as it seemed at the time, the 100% run strategy against DDL in the playoffs 2-3 seasons ago was not only exceptionally effective but ballsy as hell too. Detroit was looking unstoppable that year.

The reason Detroit looked unstoppable that year is because they boosted early and everyone else waited. I'm just sayin'.

http://www.glbwiki.com/index.php?title=Playoff_Seeding_and_Tiebreakers

If there are only 2 teams tied (same record), higher seed is the winner of the head-to-head match up.

If there are more than 2 teams tied (same record), then it's based upon these factor in this order:
1. Number of head-to-head wins against the other tied teams with the same record.
2. Number of total points scored.
3. Number of total points allowed.

it should be record against common opponents 2nd, so that teams that took a loss from playing a top team in the other conference aren't screwed, while teams that got cupcakes are rewarded. That honestly isn't aimed at any specific team out there, just a general observation. if two or more teams tie on that, then have them square off on point differential (points scored - points allowed) in conference games only. At least then the tie breakers would have some meaning. total points scored means nothing if your D sucks butt
