First - I would NEVER say this if it wasn't a CPU team.

But this is friggin' ridiculous:
http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g318/p_frensley/AustinGame.jpg

After all the teams the Goal Line Blitz added this past off-season?
How the HELL can the long standing BBB5 be left with a CPU team?

I detect the faint whiff of money.
And NOT taking care of business.

Yea. Well. Thanks for the stats.
But I'm pissed.
Because it should simply be run better than this.
Like I said ...
This is friggin' ridiculous.

Well. Yea.
But it's a game.
And it's a game I'm paying for.

And I'm not happy right now.
And IMO - any owner here shouldn't be.

I just don't understand how the BBB5 doesn't have a full
roster of human owned teams.
Unless it's just signing and signing teams for the money, while
neglecting the faithful.

Canada AA#1 has 5 cpu teams, there are plenty of leagues with this problem still.

But on a whole it has gotten better then it was and hopefully the 2nd season of regrouping will help much more. There's always going to be gutted teams during the season ending up cpu. And what can really be done about it until next season?

At least, from what I've heard around the forums, a lot of new owners find it too difficult to rebuild a team in the middle of the season. A 3 day grace period for chemistry is often not enough to get all your guys on the team (unless you were well prepared ahead of time) and there are virtually no "good" players to sign. Thus, owners became frustrated and gave up before they started.

They also saw that most owners wanted a brand new team to start with. Getting a gutted team with no money and the admins only giving a little money to help (not enough, especially in high level or competitive leagues), often with no stadium, killed many owners hopes to turn teams around.

New teams are easier for (new) owners to take over and are a better selling point then "come help the gutted team I just got"...

This is truth.

having been a part of turning two gutted teams around. it isn't fun at all. and as time goes and levels get higher and higher it is probably darn near impossible to rebuild a team in A or AA nowdays.

You can't rebuild higher than BBB at least not in the USA bracket. Even the BBB bracket in USA is no picnic. I actually play with you in A6 and there's no way a new team could ever hope to compete there; same for A8!

I think the new teams need to start off with more money or a better stadium if they ever hope to compete in USA; unless you actually are willing to take a losing season at first. I know we had no problem with that in Arrowhead, but we're a different story. I'm helping a team out in BBB9 and there's no way they can compete this season and I'm not sure about next season due to bad moves on their stadium and payroll.

exactly. the Fight was one of the rebuilt teams. but we moved the offseason after we got it to BBB to start over. The Corsairs were the same dropped to BBB in the first offseason and then tried to go from there. the initial half seasons where a slaughter though. didn't really matter if it were were a CPU team or our rebuildig team at that point just not enough.

now that they throw all the CPUs down it will make it easier to rebuild. as all most the good BBB teams move up now.

I just wish teams would wait till the offseason to disband and not in the middle of the season. messes up playoffs too much as teams with contacts get a short term boost in talent. (but that is a WHOLE nother topic lol. )

Well not only the short term boost, but the games can affect the standing too based off of who already played that team.

There's a waiting list out the wazoo for teams.

Or at least there was when I purchased what became the Java Monkeys.
Which, by the way, WAS a completely gutted team.
All CPUs and 3 real players who's contracts were expiring.

But I took it. And the butt kickings that came with it.
Because I wanted a USA team - and not some South American, Serbia, western Pacific
horseshit.

And all these guys are just sitting out there on the waiting list, waiting
for the offseason.
While we've got a CPU team in a long-standing division/conference that
manages 1 yard of offense in an entire game.

I guarantee you that there's guys out there right now that would take over
a USA BBB5 team - even midseason - and do much, much better than that.

This needs to be changed.
There needs to be some option for owners that want to bail to do so
with a simple change of ownership.
And incentives to do so.

And if not, get some owners just sitting out there on a waiting list in the game.

Oh yea.
And while I'm bitching?
What fool is going to spend nearly $1/4Million for ONE (1!) skill point
equipment up-grade at LV 32?
It's insane.

Not exactly. If your equipment give you a +1 Attribute to Speed lets say for your WR, you would probably move your Speed up from 90 to 91 with equipment. That would be the cost of 4 Skill Points or 1 Level.

So let's take all four equipment and buy Speed for the same WR; now he's at 94 which would cost you 16 Skill Points or more than 3 Levels!

So paying out money for Level 32 gear is a great investment for the team and it costs $800,000 for all four pieces of equipment. Now Level 40 will cost you around 1.6 Million for all four pieces of equipment.

So if you want Level 40 players on your team, build your stadium accordingly. Pay your players and building your stadium is easy to do.
