Here is what I'm trying to do:
I want to get about 10 people together.
3 will be Mafia (i.e. Kiras)
1 of them will be the Cop (i.e. L)
1 will be a healer (I guess the death eraser -- see death notes episode 0 from the manga)
the rest will be townspeople
During the day, everyone poses as a townsperson and no one knows the identity of anyone else.
Objective of the Game:
If you are not mafia, then your goal is to figure out and arrest all 3 Mafia by voting them out of the game.
If you ARE mafia, then your goal is to kill off all the townspeople.
Rules:
DAY PHASE
I will start a new thread at the beginning of the day. During the day, everybody in the town will discuss who they think the mafia are.
By the end of the day, everyone will vote on whoever they think the mafia member is. That person with the majority of votes is arrested and is out of the game.
No majority means that no one is arrested.
NIGHT PHASE
During the night, the Mafia (aka Kiras) will decide via PM amongst themselves whom they will decide to kill. Once they have decided, they will PM me, and I will announce that that person is killed the next morning.
The police officer (aka L) will PM me during the night and can investigate any one townsperson. I will tell them "yes" or "no" as to whether or not they are a mafia member.
The healer will PM me during the night and can choose one townsperson to "save". So if the mafia chooses person A, and the healer chooses person A, then person A stays alive for the next day.
Endgame:
The game ends on two conditions:
1) All the mafia are arrested (L wins)
2) If the number of Mafia = the number of townspeople remaining (since mafia members know who they are and will never vote each other out). If that's the case, Kira Wins.
Random Comments:
If you are a Kira, then it is best for you to figure out who L as fast as possible and to kill him before he reveals any information.
If you are L, then it is best for you to keep that fact from everybody, unless you are about to be voted off, or if you are certain that you have identified all the mafia members.
Of course, if you are a mafia member, nothing is stopping you from pretending to be the cop and trying to undermine the credibility of the real cop.
