I was looking through my tactics today and I was wondering about the passing style one. Im a pure pocket passer so should I be doing the bullet style? Also how do people feel about the dump pass to HB/FB?

personally i have it set on medium for both. turning off the dump off means youll look for wrs more downfield, which can be good but also may mean youre forcing a pass occasionally when you shouldnt be. i tried bullet passing and didnt see much of a difference either way and my play dropped off a bit so i set it back to medium.

Scramble every time would be a good option.

I think bullet pass is good if you have high strenght. My QB plays better with bullet pass on.

I have a question on picking primary targets. My team tells me not too. However, it seems to make sense to me. Any experience on primary targets?

All depends on the matchup.

Cause when my QB is playing a tough secondary i have to go with my top WR for that game because i can count on him to get open and make catches in traffic. So it doesnt hurt to favor him a little more.

Another good time to set it is if you know one of the CB's is slow and he'll be facing one of your burners for most of that game. You try and isolate that sucker by picking plays that will make him cover the WR in one on ones with space to work and allow the burner to destroy that CB. But im the OC of the team my QB is on and your playbook has to be setup accordingly to see positive effects of favoring a receiver. Cause if you do it on your own and it doesnt fit in well with your coaches gameplan it can be disastrous.

not setting any favorite targets means youre less likely to force passes to guys who arent open. not setting any favorites increases completion percentage by 5-8% i believe and you are less likely to throw INTs. like the other posters said, its only useful if you know you have a big mismatchup with a highlevel burner wr or te on a slower cb or lb.

At the beginning of this season my qb had a tendency to hold the ball, especially on streak routes/long passing until they got way downfield. Then, he'd eventually chuck it into triple coverage.

Going with scramble has caused him to step up in the pocket and take off running instead of throwing into coverage. He's gotten a few first downs with it...usually ends up not getting the first, but a few yards is better than throwing a pick.

Bullet passes get the ball there quicker, but I think effects accuracy a bit and your receivers need to have good catching skills or they will drop the ball more.
