Okay, I am building an experimental stiff arm guy.. I'm on a team with a lot of CPU players, but I'm getting playtime so I guess no complaints.

I currently have 72.68 speed, 54.62 agility, 35.51 vision and 8 in quick cut.

Now, these are some of the replays of Tea Baggins. I know he's a sorespot with the GLB community, but I want to know what people think his speed/agility/vision/quick cut are. I want to have that kind of speed and manueverability to go with the stiff arms

yeah right. he's got to have more speed than 75.

I would be willing to bet after looking at those replays. he has at least 8 in quick cut, head fake and first step, If not more. and he probably has about 100 speed and pretty high agility.

think about it though. if you ran like that, how much stiff arm do you need? maybe he has 10 stiff arm. His build is a mystery.

maybe he has 10 first step with 70 speed and it makes his guy look fast.

That's one of our elusives. Underdogs is on the right track. Remember, first step is important in the perception of speed.

I refer you to a post a few weeks ago by Bort, and before you accuse me of manipulating Bort's posts to support my points feel free to draw your own conclusions from.

First step has only ever activated when starting from a near stop, so either when you're starting moving for the first time, or when you've gotten slowed down to the point where you're near stopped. (It can only activate when you've got < 1.5 acceleration "units" of velocity, no matter where you are on the field.)

It's always been far less useful for RB's than WR's for instance, because of that fact. The RB is usually up to speed when he hits the hole, so first step wouldn't even have a chance to do anything. Quick cut is more useful, I'd say, for moving quickly through the line.

It can help greatly if you have to make a big cut, I guess, because you have to slow down a lot.

Actually, now that I think about it, making them slow down might actually INCREASE the value of first step. If they have to slow way down to break through the line, they will be more likely to be in a position to use it after they do.

If he had that much speed his rushing bar would be much higher than 48. I'm at 82 spd/ 71 agi and my bar is 54. I'm guessing Nuge is pretty close in his post.

First step could be great for a power back, but it's too far down the elusive line.

Tea Baggins is a product of his offensive line. Watch every replay of him you'll see them dominating the opposing defense.

Besides, id be willing to bet its head fake that he has pumped rather than quick cut. (possibly both)

Viscount, you didn't make any statements after (or before) posting bort's First Step thing. So I'm confused. But also:

I said First Step is important in the perception of speed. I didn't explain it because I assumed everyone knew what perception was (wrong, I guess), so I will now. If your RB's First step goes off (at the beginning of the play, when his acceleration = 0... cause he is stationary) then you'll look faster. I'm talking solely about the perception of the person watching. Slowly reaching your peak speed is not as stunning or noticeable as Immediately going your top speed (the affect, or close to it, of First Step).
