Could a K build kicking and confidence to the moon, ignore strength and still kick balls into the end zone on kickoffs and hit 50+ yd FGs with some consistency?

Vision comes into the distance of kicks, so that has to be considered.

Yes.

I've been kicking 60 yard punts with 25 strength. Still capping it in principle, but might have been better off not!

I'm trying it with both a kciker and a punter. I'll also try it out with a kicker and let you know what happens.

Str is like the whip cream or cherry on a sundae. It's very nice to have, but only after lots and lots of ice cream!

I'll keep that in mind.

Kicking, 4:1 cap
Confidence, 3:1 cap
Vision, 2:1 cap
Strength 1:1 cap

This will build a good kicker.

I have kicking at the 5:1 cap, confidence at the 4:1 cap, vision and strength both at the 3:1 cap, and I fucking SUCK!

Jack,

That's the problem with us "old foggies", we didn't focus on everything early enough. I'm in the same boat as you but with kicking at the 8:1 cap and confidence at the 5:1. There really isn't much we can do now to get them higher.

I can guarantee you that when my new kickers hit their mid 30's they will be over 100 in both kicking and confidence!

I have done the same thing and I don't have any points into SA except custom and Advanced equip and my punter is only a level 17.

I am avoiding strength right now because it is clear he doesn't need it.

I just don't know where to spend my points on if not on strength and nobody has a good compelling argument for where to spend my points.

punting is just a smidge away from the 6:1 cap so points into punting is a waste now also.

I'm not giving away my secret... though it isn't much one one . I'm kicking over 40 yards/punt with over 100 punts already this season, in my first year out of d-league.

I will say - I added 15 strength, and 1-1-1 SAs in the tree, and my punting distance DID improve. But that's a small sample, we'll have to see what happens in the last 5 games of the season.
