Do you want him to be a blocker, balanced, or receiving TE? In any case, you should get strength or catching up to the first soft cap ASAP.

Since strength is closest, I would train strength/blocking until you can softcap strength with accumulated SP to 48.06. Don't spend them, just save them until you can boost him up to that point. From there, work on catching to 48.06 and then vision to the same level.
