I'm trying to figure out how to get my pass defense rating on my LB up

He's got speed, vision, and agility softcapped.
Jumping is at 39, Tackling is at 36, Strength is at 27, Confidence at 20, and Catching at 18.
He's also got 5 points in the Swat Ball SA, and +7% deflect ball chance from gear.

I really thought his pass defense rating would be higher than 33. Do I need to focus on Confidence and Catching right now, or do I need to get speed, agility, and vision well past 50 just to get my pass defense rating past 33? I do think that he needs more confidence to take advantage of the Swat Ball SA, am I right about that? But do SAs affect your ratings?

I built him to be a pass defending LB, so it bothers me that his run defense rating is higher than his pass defense rating.

why do you even care? that has nothing to do with anything except for very general scouting. watch the games and make decisions based on production. SAs don't affect ratings and confidence has little to nothing to do with swat ball.

Speed is the best way to get your pass defense bar up. keep pumping speed.

He's got 3 passes defended in the last season and a half (24 games), playing about 40 snaps per game. I am disappointed by his stats as well as his scouting rating. I recently pumped jumping up from the low 20s to near 40, but it hasn't led to me swatting passes.

As for confidence affecting swat ball, I read that you need to get confidence above a certain threshold for SAs to active. Is that not true?

No. "Urban GLB Legend". What you were reading was a post from several seasons ago which was artfully constructed to confuse mass amounts of oppostion thus giving the author a competitive advantage. Genius in its application but the premise of the atual information is complete bullshit. Bort came on to debunk it after it started spreading.

That's good to know. I probably still should have my confidence higher than it is, though. But its good to know that my 5 points in swat ball should be having a positive effect.

Just keep adding points to speed and that bar will turn green
