I'll give 12th a break this week.

BTW - I don't do the West since I don't really follow it and it wouldn't be fair to those teams.

1. Boston Nighthawks (7-0)
Defeated Warpath 90-0
Ranking: Unchanged (previous 1)

Held D.C. to 70 total yards, ran over everyone like usual.

2. Cincinnati Shockers (6-1)
Defeated DDL 38-35
Ranking: +2 (previous 4)

Defense held DDL to under 300 yards and they came through when it counted on offense.

3. Detroit Demon Lions (5-2)
Lost to Shockers 38-35
Ranking: +1 (previous 4)

There's no shame in losing to the Shockers in a hard fought contest.

4. Philadelphia Pushovers (6-1)
Defeated Mustangs 26-20
Ranking: +1 (previous 5)

I kept DDL ahead of PP this week because beating the Stangs by only 6 didn't trump a hard fought last second loss to the second ranked team (DDL).

5. Washington Bullets (6-1)
Lost to Kzoo 28-17
Ranking: -3 (previous 2)

K-zoos chemistry might be coming back around, but the Bullets' offense wasn't working today either.

6. Orlando Pirates (5-2)
Defeated Camden 119-14
Ranking: unchanged (previous 6)

Beat an overmatched team convincingly.

7. Doomsday Sin (4-3)
Defeated Madcats 36-20
Ranking: unchanged (previous 7)

Probably should have beaten the Cats by more, but no reason to drop them down for winning.

8. Green Bay Maulers (4-3)
Defeated Continentals 37-17
Ranking: +1 (previous 9)

Seemed to let up on the gas in the second half, but a solid performance.

9. Rhode Island Red Wolves (3-4)
Defeated Rage 49-34
Ranking: +1 (previous 10)

For the past two seasons, the RI/GR game has been exciting, coming down to the 4th Q turnovers for GR both seasons.

10. Gridiron Rage (3-4)
Lost to RI 49-34
Ranking: -1 (previous 9)

Turnovers on punt returns in the 4Q killed them.

11. K-zoo (2-5)
Defeated Bullets 28-17
Ranking: +1 (previous 12)

I would have liked to move them up higher, but they will have to wait until next game. Great win over a top team today, they might be turning the corner.

12. Chicago Mustangs (2-5)
Lost to Philly 26-20
Ranking: -1 (previous 11)

Sorry I have to drop you guys, but the Kzoo win was more impressive than staying within a score of Philly.

The rest:

13. Philadelphia Continentals (unch.)
14. Kentucky Madcats 1-6 (unch.)
15. Camden Outkasts 0-7 (+1+
16. D.C Warpath 1-6 (-1)

Under 250 actually.

Thanks for doing the rankings. These are really good to read after the game.

I can't believe K-zoo beat Washington either. I thought I read it wrong at first. Can't even let up against 1-win teams in this league!

The Washington Bullets are perennially overrated. Those of us who have been here for a while know that well.

I dropped them as far as I was comfortable doing so, but I still think they are a good team.

I know they beat us handily but I must agree that we have faced better teams this season and came away with the win. They sold out against certain formations and it worked out for them. I would love to get a rematch.

We got hit by some misfortune but KZoo deserves a lot of credit. They are still the defending champs and only a few players short of their previous roster.

Few players?

We only have 7 returning.

Good game guys, it was a good match and you guys are definitely a really good team. Hopefully this will be the start of a better rest of the season for us now that our chemistry isn't...awful. As for our roster we actually have a lot more then a few players different then last season, the majority (probably close to 70%) of the team left and we had to rebuild it (which is why our chemsitry was so bad).

Our fourth quarter was the most facepalm GLB quarter I've ever seen.
