Tank. Don't level up, don't spend skill points, strip off of your equipment, set your play level to "relaxed," training to "intense" (so you have nothing left for games) and let your boy rot until the owner meets your demands.
Unless your owner is a moron, he'll figure out it's better to trade for someone who wants to play for him than someone who doesn't.
